Has anybody be opted to just install a new (black) grille instead of derp?

I can't stand the teenage braces on my Inferno. I also have lots of bugs. And give my trucks lots of baths. I'm concerned that over only a short time I'll be having to redo the plasti...

Thank you, and I got it from Matt at http://www.customcargrills.com
If you get it with the mesh, letters, and a new bezel it's about 378 plus shipping

Did you leave the wheels on the truck to do this or take them off?

You answered my question ... i was thinking about doing my chrome on front grill but i was wondering how hard it would be to wash bugs off. I think i will just stick to doing my chrome emblems now and maybe my chrome rear bumper caps

I left them on and taped the tires just like you would in any painting job. I put a plastic bag in behind the rims to cover the caliper and drums, and had rubber caps that I stuck over the lug nuts. Although they say its easy to peal off, the same sharp edges that make it easy to peal off, equally make it a bitch to get off the tire them selves ( all those nooks & carnies). take the time to tape. 1 tire took me 3 1/2 hours to get the rubber off (ended up using a piece of rubber garden hose griped in each hand & scrubbing back & forth). thank god I only tried that on one tire. hard lesson learned fast,

Looks great! I end up using tire blackener over the entire tire & rim at the same time, I guess I kinda get the same effect.
