I was like you and going to dip mine but ended up just replacing the rear bumper with black plastic caps $200 but better than worrying about it coming off and a lot better than the chrome!image.jpg

Thank you! How well do you think it looks similar to the fender flares? I'm still trying to decide...

No problem at all. I think it matches great. I think you will be happy with it. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my truck and I like it a lot.

Did you swap these out yourself? If so any tips ... i have heard someone say they are a pain in the @ss due to some clips that easily break. I would like to switch mine out as i hate the chrome

I think it is very doable to remove yourself but I had the dealer do it for me. Didn't cost very much and saved me the headache.

Looks Good!! I want to find the Caps in white hoping maybe I can find someone that wants to trade for my chrome ones. I have the Black overlays as well...I havnt put the tailgate "tacoma" ones on yet...I like the way yours looks. Right now I still have the "V6" on tailgate and black. Figured I'd have to take it off if I do the tacoma part.

Is 5-7 the right amount of coats for dipping the badges and grill with 30 inbetween each coat?

It took me 1/2 to 3/4 a can for the grill, that was 8 coats. I took my badges off but I wouldn't think those took more than a 1/4 can at most.
