Used the black on the left for the bezel and smoke not in the picture for the grill.

I'm going to try a couple layers of black with grey on the top 3 coats for the chrome bumper caps and see how that turns out.

    My first dip!

This was pretty easy, I was surprised. I managed to snap the badge clip though. not completely off, but I guess I'll have to buy a new one some day.

Also, Ace is the place for Plasti Dip. Jealous of those prices - $9.99 a can out here in Hawaii.

I tried the gray and it didn't look that great, so I just covered it up with black. I think it lightens the black up a bit.

No, I was worried I'd crack it completely. I used masking tape
and snugged it up good and let it sit overnight.

What color did you do the horizontal bars and the hexagon? They look slightly darker than the chrome in the picture which I like.

Anyone dip their painted fender flares and front bumper caps? And how long did that last against rock chips?

Since I have an Sr5, I've been debating about derping my rear bumper or not. I finally went for it and i'm actually very pleased! I had never worked with Plasti Dip before so I was very skeptical but since almost everyone on here has derped something on their truck I figured it was for a reason.

Tried to unbolt the chrome parts by taking off the tabs on the underside and a few other sneaky/tricky places I found but even with all of them off it still didn't come off. I was so close, some parts of the chrome were super loose but the piece just didn't come off. So, I had to tape and protect the car.

I am now a fan of plasti dip!! It amazes me how that stuff works.
I think it turned out awesome. Hopefully it holds up to the harsh San Diego elements :D haha
