Because was getting dark and late mine had about 2 hours cure time after last coat. Though I didn't remove the grill from the paint part couldn't get it so just removed entire price and taped and sprayed mine.

Really plasti dip is amazing stuff I think as long as it isn't wet still you'd be fine as long as when putting back on vehicle it's some where warm and dry, so it can go ahead and cure properly.

One of the main joys of derp is so that you dont have to disassemble and reassemble anything. Just spray it on and peel the overspray off.

Has anybody covered the painted "bezel" as well? I think it would make the grill look pretty huge...might look good or terrible.

do it! Worst outcome is that you have to peel it off. I derped the pillar between the front and back window on my access cab to see what it looked like. Never decided if I like it or not so my driver side is derped and the passenger side isn't

Has anyone tried to undip a dipped chrome sport grill, asking for a friend.

(ordered a pro grill, not going to undip just interested if anyone has done it and if it was difficult)

Get goo gone spray. Spray the thing and let it sit. The. Got it with high pressure water. It will literally melt off.

I’ve never done it off the grill, but that’s how I get it off wheels I’ve done.

Couldn't stand the chrome any longer. Plastidipped grill. Kept emblem chrome for now. IMG_20171126_120643.jpg

Looks good. You should derp the emblem white to offset it, if you are looking at getting rid of chrome all together. I had mine white, then black, and now looking at back to white (until I get a new grille).

You front end is the same as mine down to the TRD logo. Beware though, the colors on mine somehow fell off after about 6 months oddly enough. Now it's just a silver TRD emblem.

How is the plastidip holding up over time for people that did their grills/bezel? How does it hold up when power washing to get bugs and stuff off?

Was thinking about getting the mesh grill with emblem from custom car grills and Plastidipping the bezel since it’s almost $200 cheaper to get it without the black unpainted bezel..

My grille was done 1 1/2 yrs ago and still looks real good...... Been pressure washed a few times also... Holds up well if you prepare it well...
