It just peels right off. Use the tape to have defined lines as it’s much easier to start peeling that way. When you get to the emblems, peel up and away from the emblems. I experimented with an old plastic gift card and a Home Depot bucket lid to see how it peeled. That’s when I realized that as long as I could peel it everything would be ok. These are a lot of videos on YouTube as well. There is a Chanel called “Dip your car”.

TY. I've so far done my grill, hood scoop and tail lights. Nothing I've needed to tape off as I was worried how the edges would come from removing the tape I'll give it a try today. Worst that can happen is it looks bad ,so I remove it

The dip pratically cute it’s self. As your pulling away from the emblem, you can use a tooth pick to poke at any dip that’s sticking to the emblem.

Just did this. Cant tell if I should add some to that rear fender, or leave it as is. Was surprised once tape was removed, that I liked it.

How many cans did you use for that? I've seen folks do the same thing with vinyl and knife tape.

I think your fenders would look great dip’d. I’ve been thinking of doing it.

1 can per side. After dipping, let it dry for 1 hour, then very very lightly ran a razor blade along edge of tape so when I pulled it off, it was a straight line and no pulling up of the plastidip

How do you remove the passenger's side A/C vent? Got the rest off for dipping the chrome (the vinyl wrap stuff just doesn't go on well enough for me).

Doing the grill bezel is night and day a better look than the oem chrome.

If you do, plastic tools prevent marring/chewing it up!

Dude that came out sick. Might look cool if you did the fenders, like the OR version.

I'm tossing around a few ideas on photoshop. Once I decide what I like and do it ,I'll post them. Currently making rock sliders for it. Couldn't find any I liked, so... I'll build em. :D

I wish I had that option for sliders. Look forward to seeing your finished product.

Plasti dip the exhaust, it’s actually a heat shield so it doesn’t get all of the heat from the exhaust, but the plasti dip holds up very good

Looking to derp out my OEM rims on my 2018 SR tomorrow. Part of me wants to say F it and spray the whole wheel, but the other part of me wants to keep the lugs and Toyota emblem chrome. Do any of you experts have experience with keeping those two parts chrome? I know with taping and spraying over it I'm running the risk of peeling off the dip when removing it to expose the chrome which I do not want to happen.

I guess my question is, is it worth the headache or should I just say F it and spray the whole wheel.

Could I just remove the lugs while I am spraying when my car is still on four wheels touching the ground? Seems a bit dangerous but I thought I would throw that out there

    Anything helps, cheers guys!

P.S. I do not have the gear to take my wheels off my car and do it that way

If you're going to do it, do it right the first time. Take the wheels off which removes the debate with the lugs and take the cap off to leave the logo chrome. You need some contrast on them.
