id guess i used about 4-5 cans total
for the flares, put the masking tape a good inch away from the edge ofthe flare and spray many layers..so you have a good piece to grab and peel, it will cut cleanly at the line between the flares and the body as long as you didnt cake it in there too much. Dip is pretty forgiving imo

I believe I got it in 1992 maybe. I found it last year when I cleaned out parents garage.

Good looking out. I know about the glare on my windshield from my dash pieces.

After I blacked out my dash chrome, I started to notice the reflection from that left trim piece just in the stock color. Thankfully, even with the summer sun, it is NOT noticeable enough to worry about. The interior chrome had to go though.

Do you think taking them off is worth it, it seems most brake clips or worse? I want to do mine, should I remove them? How big of a pain is it IYO? Thanks in advance.

Looks great! Did you mask off and spray in place or remove and reattach?

I masked off and sprayed. It only took about an hour total with 5 coats black plastidip and 2 coats glossifier. I used wooden toothpick to remove excess inside the lettering. I put both cans in hot water for a few minutes to get a smoother result. It was easier than I expected. Seems to be solid. I had my green headlamp on to show the glossy finish.

I already had one NFL Vikings chrome laser cut lic plate frame and you can tell it's an older one because they USED TO include matching logo screw caps. I derped the chrome so it would blend better with the front and while I was at it, I figured I may as well pick up a new Cubs version for the rear and do two at the same time. Yup, my BBP matches Chicago Cubs Championship Blue!

This is my first post on this site. Been reading for quite some time and I wanted to thank the community for great tips and advice for modifying my tacoma. Here are a couple pics of the plasti dip project I did this weekend.

I tried to vinyl wrap the emblem but that became too difficult so I ended up using Duplicolor. I love the look of the blacked out grille with the matching red emblem.

I want to do my wheels but I want to wait until after my next tire rotation to reduce the likelihood of it getting damaged.

Does anyone have advice on how to protect the lug nuts and center cap on the wheels? My Taco also came with the locking lugs so I don't want to get dip inside of those . I'd rather do the tires on the truck but it may be easier to take them off to dip them. If so, how can I put them back on without messing up the plastidip?

Remove the all the wheels and take off center caps. It will be the easiest way.

Working on my wheels today. Two coats already down on the front wheels. Going to throw some metalizer on them when I'm done as well 2C541DF8-998B-45C8-A609-2C6BBA9601B1.jpg42EF6E69-5B6F-4A52-A393-BDBE836D0968.jpgCB2333E2-262D-4E77-8099-6C637CD7A69C.jpg
