I'm helping my dad pick up a new double cab short bed trd or, he should pick it up on friday if all goes well. I haven't been able to spend a crazy amount of time behind the wheel of these but the little time I spent was ok. I think the power delivery will take some getting used to for me compared to the 4.0 as I really like the off the line and low end power with the 4.0, but maybe it just felt different idk. The interior is obviously much nicer, I kind of wish the hood wasn't so big and blocky as it seems to make visibility more difficult if you're offroading, has anyone else with more seat time noticed this? The biggest question that I haven't found a definitive answer to is wether or not you can COMPLETELY disable all the electronic traction control garbage. That has to be the most annoying part of these new trucks, and its with all new trucks, my 12 cummins was the same way but i couldnt completely disable it, limit it yes but not disable completely. When you're in the deep snow or just wanting to have a little fun it definitely becomes a pita. Anyway any input and feedback on these 3rd gens is welcomed as i haven't had a lot of time to look into them. I automatically gave a strong recommendation to buy a tacoma as I've absolutely loved both my first and second gen so i assume these would be great as well but don't want to lead my old man astray.

Come to a complete stop. Hold the traction control button down for 3 seconds. You'll see two lights light up indicating everything is shut off and go play.
