I can't wait for my Desert Sand short bed Off road. I love the black and tan contrast. I am thinking black wheels and a black brush guard.

For those of you looking for a DCSB TRD OR 4x4 with tech in Quicksand: I got a call from A.J. the Internet Sales Manager at Camelback Toyota in Phoenix that they have TWO of them inbound. They are not exactly what I'm looking for (no JBL) and I'd have to fly-n-drive to pick it up so I'm going to pass. However hopefully two of the Quicksand faithful can grab them before they hit the lot.

I don't have any relationship with AJ or Camelback other than casual shopping and a picture request so I can't really comment other than saying A.J. has been helpful and earnest in his efforts. His number is 602 648-9150; email: ajlydon@camelbacktoyota.com

Good luck, and if you get one, post some pictures! I hope to join the dirt-colored-tribe in a couple months.

Lmao one more reason I can use to justify my colour choice to people. Even if it gets me funny looks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that looks like the back trails going from Santa Clarita to Elizabeth Lake. I love that trail.

It would have been awesome if Toyota would have made Quicksand a flat/matte color like this!...

I'm glad they didn't. Since day one I knew it was quicksand for me. If they had a matte option I would have had to make a decision!

In some cases, part of what you state may be true... but my research shows that none of Toyota's "newer" colors (metallic or not) are single stage. They all have clear coat my friend.
