Another washed out iPhone picture. She is all mine now! They had it delivered in the underground storage because we have a crap ton of rain here today. So after it passes I will get some better pictures.

So theres still hope for me.... I hope.
3 weeks wait passes.... No tem VIN# for tracking still, Chris over in VIN tracking tells me he sees 3 similar spec truck around my state but none in my region. Something about waiting for truck similar to my build to be allocated to my dealership, sigh... Wonder how long mine might take, hey did say 8-12 weeks eta when ordering.

Hang in there. It took my dealer 5 weeks to track down the truck I wanted. DCSB TRDOR M/T without tech. But yesterday I finally was able to put a deposit on a build that is happening next week! Patience pays off if the truck you want has a specific configuration. Try taking those other vin's that Chris provided you to the dealer. Make there jobs easier for them. Thats what I did. I found two upcoming builds for the truck I wanted then told my dealer "look, these two trucks are being built, I can buy them from the allocated dealer or you can find a way to get them yourself". And it worked!

I see...Is there any downside for the dealership to do an a trade?
Any reason(s) why they would not want to?

Not that I know of besides it probably requires some work on their part. Some dealers have relationships with other dealers and that would make it easier. My truck was destined for Montana and now is coming to Nevada. I think the dealer knowing that you understand how the process works and that you are willing to make the deal with someone else lights a fire under them sometimes.

Installed new stock size (265-70-16) BFG all terrains on the new truck today. These are the original KO's and not the new KO2's that recently came out. I wanted to stick with the stock size so there would be not much loss of MPG and I also kind of prefer the original design of the KO's. A little less aggressive tire than the new KO2's. I didn't notice any additional road noise from switching from the Goodyear's.Tacoma16.jpg

Those BFG's look sharp on your truck. I've had good luck with those tires on Tacomas:)

Got my Softopper from my old GMC Canyon fitted to the Taco. Its about 2 inches short, but it fits pretty well overall. All I had to buy was new bed rail clamps that fit into the cargo tie-down channels on the Taco and some new foam tape for the bottom of the rails. I don't keep it on much, so I'm not too concerned with the looks.
