Went out for a drive to Mackay Island Wildlife Refuge NC the other day after it rained and snowed.

They still make these monster wheels... I remember a local with a super nice Chevy 1500 ltz all stock except monster energy wheels and tires. Ruined it for me.

Nice. I've got some automotivetouchup.com paint in the garage for the chrome bumper. Just waiting for it to get warm. What did you do to prep for paint?

 

I roughed up the chrome paint and then wiped it with a cleaner. Then I sprayed adhesive promoter. 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint, and 4 coats of clear.

Beautiful.. How do you like the ride quality with the lift? Which lift is it may I ask?

 

They are the Level 8 MK6 in 16x8 -10mm offset. They make the tires stick out past the flares a little over an inch. Exactly what I wanted and absolutely no rubbing anywhere. Not even on the oem mudguards.

 

Thanks, the ride quality is exactly what I wanted it to be. The stock setup was way too squishy.

Did you preload the 5100s at all? Your truck looks way higher that the 2 in 887 give you.

 

No preload. Set to 0. It does sit high. I'm not sure if they sent me 888's by mistake. Either way I'm happy. Alignment came out right to spec too.
