Took 6 months since conception, but I finally got my Taco!

Saw my 1st '16 Taco last summer and fell in love. Decided to wait till the '18s came out to save approx 3k Canadian for my new '17. Was worth the wait.

** Only disappointment (other than no moonroof option in CAN), was the silver steelies they threw-in with my winters. Oh well, on me for not inquiring earlier.

Will now have to commit to painting them one day (black or camo).

    IMG_3779.jpg

    Options thrown in
    -Winter tire package
    -Tub Mats (almost Weathertech quality)
    -TRD Pro Grill
-Tri-Fold soft top Tonneau cover (OEM)

    Honey to-do list
    -TACOMA letters on tailgate
    -Front window tint
    -Paint my steelie rims
    -Paint my rear bumper black
    -Rock Sliders
    -Subaru (or similar) Tweeters

    Wish list
-Big a$$ BFG KO2 pizza cutters

P.S. I now have a brand new OEM chrome Grill to sell, as well as OEM carpeted & rubber Mats.

I’ve added more goodies, 255/85/16 MT’s, snow chains for when it gets real bad out, and I just did the bushing replacement on the front diff.

Bought my Tacoma back in July but didn't find this forum until a couple weeks ago. Only a few minor upgrades so far:

    1. Tailgate letter inserts
    2. Interior LED lights
    3. Tint on the front windows to match rear

On the near term to do list:
    1. Derp the grill, emblems and wheels
    2. Ordering new bedside vinyl from @CBoy808
    3. LED reverse lights

    Long term list:
    1. New rims
    2. New tires
    3. Roof rack (maybe OEM)

I don't want to go too far from stock as this is my daily driver and I don't use it for serious off-roading. I'll post more pics as this evolves.

Just ordered the TRD Faux Grille instead of derping mine. I need to quit surfing this site while drinking or I'm gonna go broke.

I see what you mean now. It looks like my finger is in the guard (it's not). Safety is on and trigger finger is straight. Gonna have to change the pic tho.

Less than 300 miles on my 2018 and someone hit my bumper cap and didn't even bother to leave a note. No idea where it happened, but I just noticed it yesterday. Bastards.

Yeah, I was hoping to just leave this truck mostly stock :annoyed:... I'd buy a steel bumper if I could find a deal, but these trucks seem to be too new for cheap used parts.

I'll most likely pull the covers when it gets warmer out, punch out the dent the best I can, and hit them with some bumper coat paint in black. I'm surprised they come painted on the OR in the first place.. it seems like the black textured version would be more appropriate.
