3rd Gen Quicksand thread

Here's a side-shot. This seems to be the biggest tire that will fit under the truck in the spare location (so you don't need to carry a full-size spare in the bed, or on an after-market rear bumper). I've got a little rubbing of the front tires on the rear part of the wheel-well on the mud flap. I'm working on resolving that, but be warned that this tire size (at least with a BFG KO2 which runs on the large side) may give you some rubbing.

P.S. On a side note: carrying your spare in the bed or on a rear bumper gives you better access to the spare-tire if you need it, I just like full use of my bed, and I didn't want to spring for an aftermarket bumper and tire-carrier.

Got the truck in the shop today for my suspension lift. Should have it back Thursday.

I got to break in the stock suspension a bit before getting it removed. I spent all of last weekend on the trails.

 

I usually don’t like the way roof racks look. But damn yours looks good. Very clean looking.

Coming home from Mammoth Lakes stopped at Alabama Hills.

 

Put the kit on this weekend and just got her back from the alignment shop.

 

I too was thinking of painting my tires the same color of the truck!

Just got her two weeks ago. No major mods yet other than blacking out all the chrome and trying to color match the front emblem

Earlier this week, I joined the Quicksand club! This is my second 3rd Generation Tacoma. My first was a ‘17 Tacoma TRD Sport in Silver Sky Metallic. Quicksand is such a unique color, and I think the TRD Off Road layout compliments it well. It seems I’ve gotten more compliments on the truck after only a few days of ownership compared to my previous Tacoma.
