When I first looked at the pic you posted I was instantly reminded of those old two door and original runners from back in the 80's(?). You know- the ones that looked like they had fiberglass tops or something. Something about the proportions on the side of the back end look more like those old ones than the more recent ones. My bro has an '08 and this 16 definitely has some vintage proportions to it that the '08 doesn't have. In my eye, anyway. Thanks for posting. Neat.

    Just the basics
When the time comes it is gonna be tough to choose between white and quicksand. The 4Runner looks great in tan too.

As a Canadian, I was set on a Quicksand TRD Sport. Unfortunately my dealer confirmed this is only available in Access Cab, and not DC. Inferno is available though

No DC quicksand in Canada? That seems odd.

just my personal opinion, but Quicksand is a very "off road" color whereas Inferno is a very "Sport" color. in the end, I decided the o/r features were most important to me.

Can you guys come down, but a truck, and take it back? Or does the exchange rate make that a non-option (if you're not Ted Turner)?

You could but our dollar is pretty crappy right now, so exchange rates suck. We also need a conversion kit (KM/H, Daylight running lights, other things) done, including an inspection. Kind of a pain in the ass but it is somewhat doable.

Question for other Quicksand fans... I'm thinking about adding in some RED highlights by painting 1) the "Tacoma" letters on the side 2) the Toyota emblem on the grille (not entire grille) and 3) the recovery hooks underneath the front bumper and 4) the "V6" letters on back. This would sort of tie in with existing red font "4x4" and taillights.

    thoughts?

I wouldn't.. I think the red 4x4 emblem is more than enough. The black is enough for contrast IMHO..

My opinions are that Quicksand is a universal color for Sport and OR, they both look equally excellent. Everyone on this forum has a different opinion on which color combinations should be applied to what models for 2016. I believe I read a post where someone had said they think Quicksand looks like a used zoo vehicle color, while others will say it's the most unique, most attractive looking color for 2016. Some say the 2016 glamor colors (Red and Blue) are too much. What are you left with at that point? White, Black, and Gray? The colors that make up almost all of the vehicles on the road? Quicksand isn't loud or offensive. I believe it's just right. If you don't like it, like all other colors, please see it in person if you can before you dismiss it.
