    I found one once at a dealer on one of their used trucks. Get on the web (autotrader, etc...) After years in the car business, it is a known fact that a truck will set on the lots for days on end with a cap on it. Take the cap off and the odds for selling it quicker go way up. Usually can be bought for about $500. Then they can take the $500 off what they have in the truck. It's a win-win...

    Found this. Think the guy is kinda high on it myself. You'd have to have it painted cause it's white. Most body shops can do that for about $3-400. What part of the country are you in, btw?

    Denver Craigslist. There's another one on there, too. It's the high-top Leer 180 and silver. But the guy wants $2400 !!! You can buy new for that!

    My Dakar HD rear leaf pack has not squeaked so far (1+ year). I did sprayed all of it with plenty of fluid film.

    That Dobinson leaf pack sure looks HD! Whats the part # or link please!

    My 'new to me' 2019 TRD Off Road. Had the Leer topper on it when I bought it, which was awesome. But the topper was shiny black and just not a good fit with this color. Went back and forth on having it painted to match. Finally decided on Scorpion Coat professionally done by my local body shop. Just picked it up. I think it really looks cool and the stuff is literally indestructible!

    Hi! I'm planning on upgrading the suspension soon; hitting bump stops on small dips and the stock leaf springs are looking kinda straight/flat after dailying all them overlanding gear I keep on the truck pretty much 24/7. Got some KINGS on hand with some ICON UCA's and leaf spring kit on the way.

    I'm trying to see if these red Black Rhino Primm wheels would look good on the quicksand Tacoma.
    https://fitment.blackrhinowheels.com/alloy-wheels-fitment-guide-results.php?year=2017&make=Toyota&model=Tacoma++(6+Lug)+(Lifted)&sizes=17&widths=9&finishes=R
    Some red wheels on a tan Gladiator on the BR home page looked nice to me. Anybody ever try some red wheels on their quicksand Taco? Please post some pics for reference. Thanks in advance. Also, trying to see if their 0 offset is good or if the -12 is better (and doable with the suspension upgrades I'm planning for).

    The stock leaf springs are virtually flat from the factory. With all your added weight, a full spring replacement sounds overdue.

    As for wheels, color is purely personal preference. Both offsets presented will function. The -12MM offset will likely require more trimming/cutting to allow the tire to cycle fully. That offset will give a more aggressive stance as well. Tire size will contribute to the work involved to clearance things as well.

    Thanks for the input, man. I guess I’ve been trying to get the most out of the stock components as I could. They’ve definitely helped to get me, my wife and our doggies to some cool places and great adventures. But, yeah, the suspension upgrades are long over due. I don’t wanna ride on stock too long that it could potentially lead to an accident on or off road.

    I may go with the wider stance on the -12 offset wheels since there may be the possibility of removing that sway bar up front.

    She’s been good to me. I lost my previous taco but would never go to another truck. Die hard taco owner.
    Took a trip to Moab Utah for the 1st time. Amazing place to be.

    Man those retro colors look good on a quicksand truck. They really pop.

    Pretty cool seeing everyone’s QS Tacoma’s an the variety of set ups specific to each users needs an use. Mine is going on 2 years old an is primarily used and set up for big game hunting. Since I hunt in some areas that allow me use a vehicle for recovery I find myself in all sorts of varied terrain and conditions w/o other vehicles ahead or in trail making a portable winch a necessity.

    mods include:
    Tacoma rubber truck bed mat; Skanda Seat Covers; RCI fuel tank skid plate; Mobtown hidden hitch & rock sliders; 8,000 Warn winch wired for front or rear use; ARE topper w/win doors and higher ceiling (allows big bull elk to be loaded); Dick Cepek Trail Country Tires; RedRock 4x4 Ground Anchor
