Kicking around the idea of powder coating the wheels gunmetal grey. Or maybe picking up some bronze fellas.

Looks great. What tire size? 255/85/16?

Thanks! And you are correct on the tire size. I had a TJ Wrangler for over 15 years and had 32x11.5x15 BFGs on it. That seemed to be the right size tire for what I used it for. This is roughly the same size, just 16s.

Yeah, that size seems just right for these trucks. Is your truck lifted? How about wheel spacers? Any rubbing?

I like the clean no-badge and Pro grill look too.

Thanks! Me too. Although I have a buddy with a sticker/badged out FJ Trail Teams that thinks it's boring. Ha! The 255/85s are slightly narrower than the 32x11.5s which helps. So no spacers needed. No rubbing. And yeah, it has a 2" ICON lift.

Finally got the wheels and tires on! Haha... looks like a freakin Hot Wheels! Got bold w/ some candy red wheels. Stock tires are low on tread and were hydroplaning in the heavy rainfall earlier this week in Cali. Feels safer, now, with the new tires. I like the stance and how wide the tires are compared to the stock ones. The shop and alignment guy who did the work did a great job; no rubbing and handles well, so far. May plastidip the outer ring of the rims and the center caps on the wheels black. Still gotta figure out how to fit the matching spare wheel/tire in the factory location.
Wheels: Black Rhino Primm, Candy Red, 17 x 9, -12 offset
    Tires: Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 285/70R17

New guy here. Been lurking around for some time, but only recently joined the club.

Just picked her up about a week ago, but haven't been able to drive much due to the current circumstances. Had a nice sunny day out in the Fraser Valley (British Columbia) so I went for a short drive in the country with the Mrs. Looking forward to learning from all of you here, and no doubt, spending a few Canadian dollars on my new wheels.

    Cheers.

Reminds me of Stompers (I may be dating myself, but those were those badass little AA battery powered toy trucks in the 80s). I like it. How long has it lasted?

Hope you all had a Happy Taco Tuesday, peeps. The Tacoma got some PPE upfront today for the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s been an expensive Q1 for 2020, but I feel better getting the off-roading gear caught up a bit more with the overlanding gear. Thanks to God for helping me get a job in the “essential” sector (aerospace w/ gov’t defense contracts puts the company on the CISA list). But, I think it’s time to slow my roll on mods, especially with the 10% pay reduction that got implemented recently at work.

Demello Off Road front bumper with WARN winch (synthetic line), Factor 55 ProLink, Baja Designs Squadron Pros and some red d-rings
I didn’t really mind the chrome the past three years, but after getting more black and more red on the quicksand it’s making me think of doing a chrome delete to keep the truck at the Black and Tan and Red colors theme. The other gear can be other colors, but I’m starting to want to keep the truck going with that Black and Tan and Red theme. Also, might ditch the TRD front skid for some Bud Builts armor in black or red from front to back later down the road. ...ooh, and that 5.29 regear people keep talkin about. Mpg’s have dropped significantly, but at least the gas prices have also gone down recently. Aaagh... gotta pray for some financial discipline here.
The Taco turns into a Spawn mobile at night now and preys on SW20’s Just saw these today and it got me second guessing the Black Rhino Primms ...but, then I remember that the Primms come in the same red as the Factor 55 link on the winch and comes in a 9” wide, -12 offset that helps get the wider stance for the Taco. ...one moaaar pictchooor
