Today I saw a Tundra in this color and it was stunning. The owner obviously did some customization including a big lift, aftermarket chrome wheels with ATs. The grill was chrome (factory grill) and the rear bumper was also chrome. The toyota emblem in middle of the chrome grill was painted body color, and that contrast with the chrome grill, rear bumper, and wheels made this truck look really awesome.

I'm usually not a fan of chrome, but it went really well with that color scheme. I'm thinking maybe a TRD OR in quicksand with the chrome rear bumper would look really good. I wonder how difficult (or easy) it is to remove the toyota emblem from the front grill to paint it. I think something as small as that could make the front grill look really nice.

I just ordered a TRD Sport Access Cab 6spd manual in Quicksand. If I'm lucky, the build date will be 10/12. I'll get some pictures up once it arrives. I personally think its the best of the new colors. I do miss Pyrite Mica though...would have ordered that if it was still available.

Vinyl wrap the over fenders black, put the black decal on the hood (like the trail team FJs in this color), and that would be one of the best looking 4Runners ever.

My first Toyota truck was a 1985 SR5 2wd Long bed in tan/quicksand. Had a 2 inch lift in the front, 31 BFGs all around and front brush guard with 3 Hella amber lamps. Of all the trucks I've owned in my lifetime, this remains my favorite of them all. This truck screamed badassness and the color set that tone. I now have a superwhite 2016 SR5, but quicksand/tan Toy trucks will always be one of my favorite colors. Once all the naysayers see it with the right lift, wheel and LED combo, they will change their minds quickly. Quicksand is the one of the original off-road colors.

Sitting at my desk and this drives right by my office. Sorry for the crappy picture. I hadn't seen any third gens on the road and this particular color drives by. One day after I change my order from MGM to quicksand.

I think the color scheme would flow better with blacked out door handles. Hope I'm not repeating anyone in this thread.

Don't hate on the tan just because it's not pretty and it doesn't match your pretty-pocket pants!
