Yeah the design of the RRWs makes them look like a smaller diameter than they are, which I like. I prefer more sidewall myself.

    Yep, 5.29 gears.

I am team sidewall as well. I have 285/75/16 ST Maxx. I would have bet money those were 16s on yours!

Thanks for the info. Great work on your truck. Looks very clean.

Thank you! I'm a sucker for the OG bed rack and vinyl cover tent look.

Spent a good bit of time perusing all of these quicksand trucks, fantastic looking trucks! I have to admit, I think all of the matte colors are pretty cool in their own way! Thanks all for sharing!

Anyone know the part number for the color matched grille surround piece? (See arrow in attached pic for the part in reference)

Tagged a deer last week so mine (along with all the plastic shit holding the grille on) is busted.

As far as I know, there is only 1 version of quicksand on third gen truck, 4V6. No clue what those jokers were trying to pull on you.

    Black Friday finally arrived.

33" 255/80/17 Wildpeaks vs my 5 year old 32" 265/75/16 Duratracs, and my 17" Replika TRD rims.

Now I gotta wait for the winter tire install season to get my tpms switched over to the new setup.

It's been 3 months without her cause she couldn't come with me to Europe. I miss her and the nice beach.

I'd miss my girl "Sandy" as well, but 3 months in Europe would be worth it.

Every paint code on the road has a number of “variants” as they aren’t all the same. Lots of things contribute to that. This is 4V6 in my paint system, and I’m sure other ones have even more variants.

I don't know man, every single Toyota I've seen from the factory that was labeled "Quicksand" is 4V6 and looks identical to my truck color.
I've seen a lot of tan Tacomas, Tundras and 4Rs, and every single one has been a seemingly identical match to my truck.
Of course I've seen variations from Red Shaw, PPG and the like, but have not ever seen any other "tan" variants from the factory.
This includes most AM I've seen as well, even the color matched accessories I've gotten off of Amazon are a dead ringer for the one and only 4V6.
I'm not saying other Quicksand color variations aren't out there, but from the evidence I have seen first hand there is only 1 4V6 for the Tacomas from the factory.

Yes, there is only one 4V6. What I’m saying is that 4V6 itself has slight variations from the factory, as does every single paint code in existence. Yes the vehicles look nearly identical sitting next to each other, but if I were to spray test panels of all the different variants in my paint system and hold them next to each other, they would be noticeably different.

Here’s an extreme example. Every one of these chips is 1G3 Magnetic Grey:
