At least they moved the oil filter from that god awful place it was located on the 4.0L.

Not sure any ground breaking information here. Toyota always trickles down technology and the like from lexus/rover. It's just more accessible in a less expensive truck. Toyota didn't raise prices. Blame gm.

If this was to be a sticky I would say the title should be....Let me try to talk you out of a 2016 tacoma if you really don't want one

This has to be the most useless thread in this forum. That it is stickied makes it even more so. Quite an accomplishment OP.

You couldn't be more wrong. The most innovative thing on this truck is the standard go-pro mount. Now that alone is going to sell these trucks. Now on a serious note, I don't know why some on this forum are so disappointed and/or shocked at the lack of more substantial changes with the 3rd gen. If you really know Toyota then you would know not to expect huge changes or industry-leading anything. The truth is they don't really care about you or I and are smart enough (and have a good enough business model) to understand that they will sell everything they produce and if you don't buy their product there are a hundred lined up behind you to buy it. That is why in the case of all four toyotas I have bought from the dealer, the margin of "haggle room" is much smaller than any other manufacturer. You can't really expect to pay invoice when the next guy/gal to walk in is willing to pay close to MSRP for it... and they know this. As for me, I really don't mind the 3rd gen at all, but I just bought a 2015 6 months ago and will probably drive it until the new 2017 Ford Raptor comes out and then I will try to sell a kidney (and/or my first born child) to be able to afford one.

I just think that people are upset because of the 2500$ increase which I agree is way to much I could see maybe 800/1000$.

I got a screaming deal on my 2016, but it's a 2015, so it isn't ugly with a weak engine.
