Manual shifting supposed to be possible on A750 transmission, but require unhooking computer. Once that done transmission will shift like manual (to the actual gear selected)
I doubt anybody tried but it is an option. Steps are outlined in FSM.

But one good thing about trickle down is that it's been teste before so for those compoments, your won't be a test dummy.

Personally I don't mind trickle down. If it's something you've never expire need it's still new (to you) and you'll find just as much joy or frustration in it as if it were new.
