Don't forget the timeless classics of:

    No Discs brakes

    No power seats

and the delightful Homelink only on limited trim

I'll say, I feel bad for the 3rd gen. For the cost you're not getting much, even 5 year old trucks and Ute's have this shit. Our Tundra SR5 has homelink, backup camera, Bluetooth, etc...

I drive an 05 SR5. I didn't have that stuff anyway, my aux audio is a cable run through my glovebox

Or a garage to homelink on

That is true, the profit margin has to be huge! Don't get me wrong, Tacoma is a great truck but it doesn't offer me anything now. Got the tundy for that

I guess if the 3rd generation isn't that much different from the 2nd gen in suspension department then we will be
seeing steering vibrations and shake issues popping up. Bad memories I can do without

So what is so great about a cartridge filter? My understanding is that they are just a pain in the ass.

They are a pain in the ass to change out since its up front and down low but, it's less waste and more environmentally friendly. Either way, it an excuse to get under the rig and look for oil leaks

It's been about 3 years since I quit using TW glad to see nothing has really changed. I just came back to see all the funny threads bashing the new 3rd gen...loving our's so far. Creature comforts are my favorite coming from my 1st gen.
