3rd gen rear grab handle swap possible? (mesa custom hexrack)

I picked up the Mesa custom hexrack AND handle retention kit. The retention kit is basically some spacers keyed to fit the 3rd gen grab handles.

Anyone know if the 3rd gen rear seat grab handles can be used on my 2nd gen with this kit?

 

yeah cause i did it with mine...i picked up black handles...i had to pick up my own bolts though...i think the ones that come with it was standard

How did you fit the bolts? Any grinding or anything? Do you remember the specs by chance?

 

i have to check when i get home, i actually order them on ebay cause the ones at ace weren't long enough..since they use the insert nut, those were standard and you need metric...

checked my ebay, its an m6 button head, i ended up getting a 55mm n 60mm just in case...you can get the longer one and cut it down if needed instead of ordering 2 sizes...i just cant remember which ones though
