3rd Gen rear O2 sensor simulator options

I’m planning on purging my entire exhaust and replacing it with URD stuff (no cats). I’m having trouble figuring out how I will remove the inevitable CEL. Most posts I see talk about the URD O2 sim however they have discontinued that product. I can’t find a similar product from a different company either. I also know that on some cars you can tune the ECU to essentially stop caring about the rear O2 sensor, is that an option on the Tacoma.

I think @mZiggy eventually figured out a way. Idr if it was time or sim tho. Or maybe I’m thinking of someone else.

 

Spark plug defoulers may work? Be ready for the car to smell like gas though when running. I own a car with no cats and it stinks my garage up while its warming up.

 

Have you figured anything out along the lines of a defouler or o2 sim? i am wanting to do close to the same maybe just the rear cats for now but i do not want that CEL light on ethier.

 

Rear cats won’t affect anything. 02’s only measure before and after the upstream cat.
