I'll need to take a peek at mine. Sounds like there's some adjustability from the comment above? I haven't looked yet.

I'm only 5'7" and find the mirror annoys me at times and I too feel very high to the ceiling. Never been an issue for me before in any vehicle.

I was shocked the seat didn't go down. I thought it was all way up. Coming from the spacious windshield of the FJ and the moveable seat up and down this is a small disappointment. Sounded like there's possibly some room for me to move the mirror?

Yes, its very similar to a RAM mount if you are familiar. Its a double ended ball and socket joint.

I wouldn't mind it to mount a ham faceplate.

Yeah felt kinda silly how easy to move it up no problem. It's odd how low it comes down delivered....................easy fix!!

Yeah I like the idea of accessory mount options on this----lost of things from my phone to radios

Any updates on this, OP? The mirror location is the #1 thing I hate and would buy a mock up if it means relocating and eliminating that blind spot

I just tried it out too, now I feel dumb for missing this haha. I wouldn't mind it being a half an inch higher though.

Although, still in my field of vision, it is much better than before.

You must be over 6ft or have a really long torso?

Same here. It is a big improvement, but I could stand to have the top of the mirror grazing the headliner. I simply cannot see what is on the right side of a 4way stop.

I've been meaning to pull the mirror off and see if a Dremel could slot the joint on the mirror a bit. The windshield side can still rotate further, but the mirror side is limiting it.

    I see...

Im sure there is a way to modify it to spec. Let us know what you find. I might tinker with this a bit.

    Yep:
For whatever reason, the mirror joint does not have the same amount of rotation as the windshield side.
