Anyone experience water leaking from the rear power sliding window in their 3rd gen? Mine is on my 2020 TRD Sport Premium with 550kms on it. It has not leaked while raining but only when I wash it myself with a wand. I was using standard pressure from a distance on 3' or so. I've been to the dealership twice now and they have determine it to be normal and part of the design of the seal and recommended not spraying water from that side. They tested another 2020 on the lot which had the same response. My 2016 with a manual window never did this. I don't know if this is truly part of the design or if they have not had any reported issues yet. I just feel like this is a lot of water to come into the cab like this. They were very accommodating and did not have any issues with bringing it in and checking it out for me. Any thoughts on this?

That's what has be concerned. I just picked it up a couple minutes ago for the 2nd visit on this and the shop foreman was even involved and still stuck by the decision that it is normal. They were as helpful as they could and said they logged this with Toyota Canada and said if I am concerned about it to also file a complaint with Toyota. Although they are unsure if anything would actually develop from this.

I haven't noticed that on my 2020. None during rain, I take it easy on the 3rd brake
light and sliding window when washing it.

I have no issues with my 2020 Sport washing it at home or at the car wash.
At the car wash I point the sprayer right into it (about 2 feet) and it does not leak.
I say the seal around the sliding window on yours is bad.

Do you have a newer build? Toyota moved the shark fin forward in early model year 2020 trucks to correct this problem but moved it back sometime in the spring because of other issues. I’d stay on the service Dept and call the corporate number before this turns into the mold nightmare other people have had.

FUCK THAT !!! Demand names and call corporate. It is a known design flaw. I have no idea why Toyota doesn’t just use silicone because that is what seems to work the best in alleviating this problem.

I have a 2020, been through the touchless car wash a number of times which sprays at a pretty high pressure and volume, no issues, have not used a spray wand manually though.

ho.lee.shit that this is still happening to ppl after 5 yrs! Bought my 2016 in the fall of 2015 and this was one of my last issues(had about 13 total), walked out after a heavy rain and it looked just like that. Dealer had to keep it, remove the interior and get it cleaned and then fix the f'd up 3rd brake light. The last 2 years have been great but those first 3 yrs.........I wanted to set this thing on fire! :D

No leaks on my ‘19 with several power washes during the winter to remove salt spray and countless washes at home, never a drop. There is no way in my opinion that this is normal.

It was. I got the best deal from them and they are literally 5kms away from my house and work. Did you have a bad experience with them?
