I powerwash that window all the time, just cause I'm lazy to take the tonneau cover off and my stubby arms can never reach there.
Never had a leak in that area.

I looked at your truck when I was on the lot a few weeks back but decided to wait a bit and test a few more trucks out.

It doesn’t bode well if the dealer can’t even bother to trace where the leak is coming from. The more and more I read on this forum it appears that dealers like to use the “its normal” for a lot of issues.

Where’s the Toyota quality, dependability and reliability.

2017 dcsb 4x4 just started doing this at 40k. Can't believe they haven't fixed this on the 2020.

I think the problem is that they did determine the water is entering the window seal but it appears that is how they all are. At least speaking for 2020's as they determined the same thing on another new 2020 on the lot. What can they do if it is a design flaw other than sic me on Toyota Canada? Even the dealer said they will submit a complaint from their end in the hopes it will result on a recall or revised design.

no leak here .. knock on wood have u tried to open and close the rear window .Make sure the seal is sitting properly . Personally I wouldn't use a power sprayer against that window . the seal is not very tick .

I'm resurrecting this post I know, but I have the same issue and determined it only happens if I'm standing at an angle with the pressure washer wand pointing at the rear window.

If I blast it standing straight on from the tailgate, no leak. If however I'm standing at the side of the truck the wand is so close to the seal for the slider it just shoots between the seal.

Now mine doesn't leak anywhere near as bad as the OP, but it is wet inside after and I could see the drips running down the back wall plastics. I thought I had a leaking 3rd brake light but the headliner has never been wet and no water runs down the window, just that gap in the sliding seal.

the pressure vents are also known to be leaky on some models which can also let water in the same area. I think they must have updated the design of the pressure vents because my door doesn't close all the way half the time unless i have a window cracked or slam it pretty hard. It's definitely a tight seal at least on the 2021s.

My 17 had a leak like this. They replaced the 3rd brake light under warranty and that solved it
