Besides being a dipshit, that author is pretty dramatic. This is what happens when you give sophomoric "journalists" a platform to share what little info/knowledge they have.

Let's not forget the twins had a recall within its first few weeks or so over airbags :p

At least Toyota is being up front about it and not pulling a GM, hoping no one notices.

The bolts could still work perfectly fine. It could be they want everything uniform.

Why 2009 specifically? The fact that they "looked past" the ignition switch issue for 10 years says they really care about their product and customer base.

Ohh it's an AMERICAN made product!!! True Americans fix it themselves and take pride in their trucks. We don't need recalls on these beauties cause they were built by hard working citizens. If you think anything less, you're a commi :oldglory:

I salute you, hard working citizens of China!

Back to 3rd Gen talk though....didn't mean to derail to a gm-Toyota circle jerk pissing contest.

Toyota factory in Mexico is no worse (maybe better) than Benz being in Alabama or VWs in Tennessee.

Even the best assembly line workers can't build something better than the engineers design or the suppliers provide bits for.

I mean it's not like the assembly line actually has anyone making decisions about anything other than when they can take their break.

My wife's 2011 GMC Terrain has an issue where the car will loose ALL power at any speed. The AWD system check light will come on and the car will stutter as if you disconnected 4 of the 6 cylinders. This happened 4 times now on the free way at 65mph and the vas absolutely no power. It happened twice in a parking lot too and you can't accelerate past about 2mph. Literally 100's of Terrain owners are seeing this and GMC is just refusing to recognize that it's a problem. They just want to charge us $1000 to repair something with the throttle body and still fails to recognize that this is a safety issue. Then I am not even talking about the worse than piss poor turning radius, the steering grind and the drive train vibration. All issues GMC is saying I am responsible for fixing. GMC makes shitty crappy junk cars and I would rather push my Tacoma than ever driving a GMC/GM/Chevy vehicle again!

I have driven toyotas for over close to a million miles with less issues than the 60K miles on the terrain POS.

GMC will one day fry for this and I will sit back, laugh my ass off and donate this pile of crap to some unlucky church!

    Ok, sorry, rant over!!!
