The KB voodoo kit only requires you to splice 9 wires and is half the cost not to mention you have to take the same interior pieces out it. The kit takes all of 40 min to install. He was the first to introduce the kit and he's a supporting vendor of the site

@KB Voodoo you are in the *wrong* part of the country if you dislike snow!

Twenty years ago I decided to GTFO of any place where the words "lake effect" were a regular part of the weather forecast. :D

I love it here, it just takes me a minute to adjust to the idea of snow.

Taxes on the other hand, are ten times worse than any blizzard could ever be....

Yeah, WNY is great for both weeks of summer, sort of like the Finger Lakes. :)

    I do miss a good beef-on-weck though.

    Yeah, snow eventually melts. :boink:

Question about the open door, stop engine feature. I understand that will happen if I use the remote start and understand the reasoning. Can anyone with this KB Voodoo device installed tell me if they start the truck with the standard push to start button and key inside the vehicle, will the engine also be stopped if I open the driver's door in that case? TIA!

If you do the conventional get-in, start the truck, get back out while it's running it will keep on running.

Even if it drives off without the key. Of course you'd have to be completely ignoring the alerts in the instrument cluster that the key isn't present to do so -- but the point being a thief could drive off and go as far as they wanted provided they didn't shut off the truck.

Thanks for the fast response! As an EMT I occasionally go to a scene and end up riding the ambulance. One of my crew mates is usually kind enough to bring the truck back to the station - they can tolerate the alerts for a little while. :) Just wanted to see if I'd have to remember to hand of keys or leave them in the truck.

    Cheers!

Just make sure they know that if they stop somewhere and turn off the truck, they'll be sitting there until someone shows up with a key... :)
