does that apply to a "Push to start" or an "H-Key"?

    Works with all vehicles !!

Also has additional features such as ...

Battery drain /low battery - will send an alert to your phone alerting you to a low battery in your vehicle

Temperature alert - will send alert to your phone alerting you that your preset interior cabin temperature setting has been reached

    GPS features ...

Allow you to set a perimeters for family or friends where the vehicle can be driven ,if outside this perimeter it'll send you a alert to your phone

Mph reached alert .... Will send alert to your phone of preset mph has been reached

To show you how far you can activate the functions on this Viper Smart Start is . Last year I was in Hawaii and my friend was at my house in Socal . he had me unlock the door and start my truck and even though I was 2600 miles away it easily did those commands

the reason why i was asking is to know if your viper remote start is proven to have the engine stay turned on when you open the door coz this is something nobody can seem to get around to..

My truck the only way it'll shut off if I accidentally touch my brake pedal before I put the key into the ignition switch and turn it to on

I would contact an car audio /alarm installer local to you and ask questions but when I asked about this style alarm it was compatible with all newer vehicles

yes it is compatible.. but it will turn off the car when you open the door. you would have to turn your car back on again once you are inside the car. thats how it works for all remote start with a "push to start button".

Their receivers are using Verizon so if you've got Verizon there's no issues with Smart Start app

no problem at all. use it every morning to start my truck and in the afternoon before leaving work.

this is correct. you phone only needs to have an internet connection, by data or by wifi.. however, i think the module for the phone app in your truck needs to have a verizon signal so it can communicate online..

Why does the truck shutoff when you open the door causing you again to start it? Seriously wondering why anyone would install it? I've had GMC, Ford, and Honda all with remote start. You remote start the vehicle, walk up, unlock it, get in and either insert the key or foot on the brake and push the start button. Am I missing something? Thanks

I put a 12volt unit with cell service and gps in my 17 taco Trd OR and 17 4Runner Ltd. The units are great and no extra fob.

It's there a link with specs/pics? I'd like to know how this differs from Drone Mobile.

I like the drone Mobile except for a few minor ticks. I have a manual trans - Sometimes I have the truck running with the parking brake engaged and neutral while I'm putting my baby in and other parenty things. Because of this the truck will lock and unlock the doors about every 30 seconds and then the idle dips like it's about to turn off, but doesn't because the key is still in the ignition.

It's like more details on this to see if it's a better solution.

Seems that Toyota and Lexus are two of the few if not the only ones that takeover isn't offered. Most with push button start have some sort of sequence where you press the push to start button with the fob present otherwise the vehicle shuts off when you hit the brake vs just shutting off when you open the door. Also once the truck is started with the fob present, you can go throw the fob in the garbage and still drive until you run out of gas or shut the engine off so it's far less secure than a remote started vehicle with the doors locked. It beeps at you and displays a message in the info screen but doesn't prevent you or anyone else from driving.

No lexus or toyota vehicle with push button start will allow you to have a key take over with a remote start. Thats factory or aftermarket. The only way key take over is possible without killing the engine is to have a vehicle with a actual key like a Tundra. My lexus ISF does the same thing. Its really not a big deal or hard on the starter. Most vehicles today produced by Ford, GM, Audi, ETC die and restart at stop lights to save fuel.
