3rd Gen Safety Connect Range/Regions

I can't find any solid details on the matter and get mixed answers depending where I look.

I know Safety Connect uses cellular,: https://support.toyota.com/s/article/What-is-Safety-Connec-7608?language=en_US but how many networks are supported?

Like say my US based Taco goes into Canada, does the stolen vehicle locator still work?

 

I'm fairly certain it works.

The original 3rd gens had Verizon only features which we couldnt enable in Canada but the DCM

The service manual says it simply uses GPS and cell phone towers to connect to emergency services.

Services are dependent upon connection to a compatible wireless network (either 3G GSM/GPRS or LTE; varies by model), provided by a third-party wireless service provider. Toyota is not responsible for cellular network discontinuance.
