    FOR SALE:

2nd and 3rd Gen specific Tool Kits:

    IMG_5488 - Copy.jpg

Spend less money on tools you actually need:

Tools are US Made, German and Japanese tools

Tool roll is modular, sewn in Montana by myself and my Wife.

Bottom line: The tools in these kits are the same or superior to the "tool truck" brands. Bundled to avoid tools that aren’t useful, saving money, and weight, after all we drive Tacomas.

    IMG_5459.jpg

To build these kits out piece by piece with the same tools would cost you far more money, and you’d spend a ton of time trying to execute.

An example of our Heavy tool kit Tool list:

Wright and Williams USA made Tacoma specific selection of sockets

    Wright 3/8ths drive ratchet

    Proto 3/8ths breaker bar

    Wright wobble and straight extensions

    Knipex Pliers Wrench

    Knipex locking pliers

    Knipex Needle nose locking pliers

Megopro Screwdriver, specifically for automotive applications.

    Hyde Utility Knife.

    Grayvik Rip Style Claw Hammer.

    Eklind Metric Allen Wrenches.

    Mayhew Striking Pry Bar.

    Trusty Cook Dead-Blow Hammer.

    Knipex Needle Nose Locking Pliers.

    Gedore Large Locking Pliers.

    Mayhew Alignment Tool.

    Midwest Bulldog Shears.

A full suite of Steadfast Tool Roll parts to house all of it:

    Flap Module

    Molle Module

    Velcro Module

    2xLong Pockets

    Touring tool roll.

I thought this was a handy setup but then I saw the price. I am sure these are great tools and clearly a nice looking setup but imma out unless you sell the tool bag separately.

Yes, the tool roll and components can be purchased separately, if you have any questions on what to grab or what is advised shoot me a DM. As to the price of tools, its a buy once cry once deal, we really advocate that people work on their trucks with their tools in their truck, so the tools are the best you can get. You would still pay roughly 2k for all of this stuff from a Snap On, Cornwell, Mac or Matco.

We also sell just the curated wrenches and sockets with our auto specific screwdriver. It also comes with our Touring Tool roll which is nice and compact.

I use Williams and Knipex daily as an aircraft mechanic, I can speak to the quality of these tools…they are top notch! They’re not the cheapest priced tools either, so honestly the price of the set didn’t shock me. It might price some out of the market, maybe offer the individual tools/sets of tools so people can slowly work their way into the set?

Thanks for the bonafides on the tool choices, I/we came up working in the trades (machinist), and Tools to me are a point where I buy value, not price. I know not everyone will understand that.

We sell a kit that is ala-carte for just the curated sockets, wrenches, along with the Wright ratchet/extensions we spec'd, and a specific auto screwdriver. Its actually on a pre-order sale right now as well.

I think people nickel and dime their tools heavily, and don't realize how much they spend even on something like a truck kit.

And shout out to aircraft maintainers, our organizational principles in the molle weave module are based off shadow boxes!

Absolutely right! I think a tool set is always the most cost effective way to purchase tools. You can’t replace quality either which of the other brands(I’m sure they are) are as good as the ones I know personally that you’ve added to this kit, it’s a well/fair priced kit. A set of Knipex alone will be around $200.

The shadowing of tools has helped me many times to not leave something behind. It’s a pain to shadow tools sometimes but just like quality tools, you can’t replace quality prep with anything.

I’ll be looking at saving for one of your kits hopefully soon!

How much for just the roll up tool bag for a tacoma? My neighbors own a snap on truck and give me family pricing

Great idea for the Tacoma specific tool kit! I have been wanting to put one of these together for myself rather than carrying around a bunch of stuff I don't need. This is much more well executed than anything I would have done. The bag looks high quality and you can't go wrong with the camo.
I hope you sell a bunch!
I will need to save up for one of these

Maybe a TW coupon code? :D

Awesome, what do you maintain for?

The other tool brand we pair with our Williams/Snap On stuff is Wright. Wright is 96 years making wrenches and sockets in Ohio, they are mostly used in industrial applications. However their drive technology smokes the Snap On stuff in testing (see video below). We love our Williams/Snap On but the Wright design makes a big difference.

Nothing wrong with a little bit of the tool truck homie hook up.

Our rolls are fully modular so its kind of a choose your own adventure deal.

We list pricing for our rolls here

If you want to disscus your needs I am happy to walk through what you might carry and how best to do so.

Thank you, It means a lot, we've been getting all the details nailed down and sewing our hearts out in our shop for the last 18 months its very fulfilling to bring it to market finally.

As to a TW coupon code: On tool rolls yes, on the tools themselves unfortunately the only folks getting rich in the high end tool game are the "tool trucks" and HF, we make very very little money on the tools them selves. Its a business of passion not profit unfortunately/fortunately.

Any hope of blocks for the oem jack? That’s one area where I’m unprepared. I’ve been planning to get the HF 3 ton offroad jack but there is a legit concern it’s not in the truck I need it in if I flat.

I’ve worked AC130U, C17A, Boeing 737, Airbus 319, 320 and 321 NEO. First 2 for the Air Force and the last 4 for commercial airlines. Also worked on one of the private space programs for a little bit. Had the privilege of using a lot of good tools which really made me appreciate spending the money like you said “buy once, cry once”

Looks like something to save my pennies for! Great idea. I had actually looked to see if Amazon had something cheap as a toss in and forget it quite a while ago... They don't. You can buy a cheap tool roll and start adding tools. My guess is it wouldn't take long for all the cheap tools to add up and surpass the price of the quality tools you have picked out here and curated to what's needed. Great plan!

That's not a bad price for what you are getting. Especially for the brands listed. I'd be in the market for something like this if I wasn't a tech already, and didn't have all of this.

We are focusing on the tools currently, we have some field repair products in the dev pipe right now.

As to the jack issue, I would recommend looking at doing a safe Jack retrofit, or carrying a better bottle jack that is ok to be stored in the horizontal orientation. We have fabbed jack bases before but I wasn't happy with the results and frankly am wary of the liability associated with it.

Thanks! If you were to price it on the open market, you would have several hundred dollars more to spend to get the same.

I had a similar idea a while ago to put together a taco specific tool kit for the trail. Something that lives in my truck. I did a lot of research on sourcing tools in bulk and of various quality.

This kit is fairly priced given the quality of tools but I would like to see a “budget” version. Something along the lines of a Husky brand and a cost around $350-400 max.

The kit should include everything for basic oh shit scenarios on the trial. At home id use my regular tool set.

just my .02 and if you have something like this in the near future let us know! :spending:
