The Bantam also has some input trigger connections that make some other wiring simpler. You can set some inputs to trigger off of ignition. I want to wire in my dome light to use it for puddle lights and the Bantam will make that super simple.

No more relays and all that crap with the Bantam. Just keeps it easy and clean. Plus I like that they use a cat5 cable to connect their LCD screen.

It’s an investment but you get a lot of functionality and protection for all your goodies.

Just checked out the bantam on youtube and it seems to be the exact same as the source but smaller. Same amount of outputs, same setup for trigger wires. And Bluetooth which is built into the se with hd panel. Only thing is its half the size. Nice looking unit tho.

I was under the impression you had to buy the additional Bluetooth adapter ($135) for any sPOD SE unit and according to the chart above that seems accurate. I also don't believe the SE has the additional trigger inputs outside of the ignition input. So IMO the smaller size (half), Bluetooth function out of the box, input triggers and added electrical protection.....it's a bargain considering it is only $85 extra. That is if you can get over paying $800+ in the first place.

My SE HD has Bluetooth built in. What's the ignition module?

Hey if Bluetooth is included then what do I know....definitely not the first time or last time I was completely wrong....lol. I was going off the grid and the website from when I was previously looking at the SE I also thought i was going to have to buy the Bluetooth separate but I believe you both.

I think you are correct. You could likely use the dome as any input but then those accessories work off the dome obviously. I don't want my compressor to ever run if the ignition is not on and I want my future puddle/rock lights to work off the dome light so I will use both. I like not having to worry about diodes and all that stuff when splicing into your factory wiring.

From what I understand, Bluetooth is built into the HD panel, not the SE system itself. If you have the HD panel (or Bantam), no need for the extra Bluetooth module.

Updated setup. Got the reverse trigger and dome light trigger both working. The Tacoma dome light setup makes this quite interesting.

The circuit breaker underneath has been nice when I want to quickly disconnect the sPOD and accessories.

Picture of the tray upside down out of the truck so you can see it better. Used one bolt from the ARB OBA.

@Colorado Crawler, what connection did you end up using for the reverse light trigger? I am trying to sort through the mountain of wiring diagrams for the Tacoma and found the Back-up light connection, is that the connection you used?

Can you just tap into the reverse light's wire? That's what I plan to do (using SPOD's LSHS adaptor).

I was looking at the LSHS and I haven't a clue how it works. I get the premise I guess but I'm not sure how it ties into the sPod. Please educate me!

The LSHS simply plugs into the second ethernet-looking connection in the SD via a Cat 5 cable. Plug & Play. I'd take a picture, but I'm out of town.

So I did know that part but I'm not sure how I could use it to make my rock lights come on with my dome light. And how would the sPod tie into that.

I remember briefly reading some about not rapping into the reverse lights because of too much power draw or something, but I'm not sure I believed that because the wire gauge should be plenty sufficient. Maybe it was something else...

Tap into your dome lights somewhere, then lead that wire to the LSHS (into one of the eight inputs).

I don't believe there's an issue tapping anything. Doing a quick test with my LSHS, I led a wire directly from my battery terminal to the LSHS. Worked good!

Fellas, just give SPOD a call. They're more than helpful!
