A buddy of mine has a new 2023 sport suspension he wants to give me because he upgraded and lifted his truck. Should I consider this swap on my SR5 Limited? From what I have read on TW, the sport suspension improved the driving dynamics but can be somewhat harsh. I live in Calgary where the roads are crap and we have to deal with ice and snow for 6 months of the year. Currently, on OR Bilstein take-offs but it's a mushy ride and not a fan. I am 100% on street. Would swapping to the sport suspension be worth it or should I just buy 4600s (I don't want a lift)? Any Canadians with sport suspension experience? What are your thoughts?

Assuming the shocks off your friend's Sport are the black (Hitachi?) shocks? If so, I doubt there is enough difference to change between those and your Limited (probably yellow/blue Bilstein) shocks. Same thing goes for the 4600's - those are not much different than the OEM Toyotas.

If you are 100% street with no lift, it's hard to beat the Bilstein 6112/5160 combo.

Thanks, I will look into them. The sport suspension is the blue Hitachi's.
