Found a couple on the truck during the day. I don't have any with output at night but it's very good IMO. 20220120_060314.jpg 20220120_055934.jpg

I'm pretty sure this thread has made more sales for SSO than all of SSO's marketing ever has. @Hodakaguy did an amazing job documenting the process and improving the instructions.

Just finished installing mine. I left as much plastic on as I could since I didn't go with the bar. I think it came out good - I may not have 2 friends around for the install, but I have one damn good cooler! :proposetoast:.

    Thanks!

For the middle I cut along the bend just before the clips for the bumper cap. Then tapered in to 1/2 inch before the bend line that runs under the truck. (like the SSO Instructions say to do - with a little extra left on). I am thinking I really want to add on the Stage II wings. I'm rubbing in reverse on the fender liner very slightly. I could heat gun it, but I love how the Stage II looks anyway.

Was yours coated by what looks like bed liner? Did SSO coat it?

So you cut right on the edge not 1 inch back from the edge after bumper cap off?

It's Line-X Bedliner, No I had a local Line-X shop do the coating. I ordered the bumper in the white from SSO.

    Correct Right on the edge.

I used the Warn long relocation pack so I can move the control box someplace up under the hood. Someplace near the battery seems like a good spot. I want to put a lightbar behind the grille, so the SDHQ mount not is going to work. I don't know of any other commercial control box mount products. Are there any others? I'd like to check them out.

Stock suspension? Baja designs light bar? Looks awesome reading this forum and deciding what’s best for me. 2017 off-road stock suspension. I would ideally like the winch and light bar

Hey Hodaguy and others! I am new to TW Forum and am following this thread - yes 3 yrs later!LOL!
I am installing SSO Slimline bumper (no light bar, no winch) on’21 Tacoma TRD PRO. 2 questions I am hoping you or somebody else who has done this install. 1) Do I need to remove skid plate? Looks like you didn’t have to on yours. Not sure if the TRD PRO skid plate may cover more and needs to be removed. 4 bolts no biggie. 2) the SSO install manual mentions removing black plastic airflow ducting on either side of radiator. Is this step necessary?

Any of you guys install the BAMF reinforcement bracket? I know the bracket itself needs to be modified to fit the SSO bumper.
