I have a 2017 TRD Offroad 4X4. I am having issues that when I hit bumps at certain angles the steering wheel jerks to one side or the other and the truck's steering seems to float or wander on the road some especially when the road is in poor condition. I have done some research and I believe I need new bushing for my rack and pinion but I can't seem to find any for this year's model. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Start with getting your alignment checked before you start buying bushings. Visually inspect any bushings you can easily see like your lower and upper control arms.

Why not say I have a 2017 with XXXXX miles on it and when the front end parts/tires was last serviced/replaced. instead?
then more pertinent responses could be made.

Sorry, this is my first time posting. I have about 45,000 miles and have only had the truck for about 4 months. I have not serviced any of the parts on the front end. I did look at my bushings on the rack and pinion assembly and the assembly moves slightly when the steering wheel is turned.

Bingo. This will exaggerate any and all steering feel.

Are you asking for advice on the issue or wanting part numbers?

This is the first tacoma I have owned, so is this normal steering with a lift and 33" or is there possibly an issue? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Im lifted. 33's and i dont expierence what you are describing with the floating and wandering. Bumpsteer at times yes.

You should be checking your alighnement and tire pressures and any odd tire wear. If those check out then start looking at hard parts. Upper and lower ball joints, bushings, steering rack etc.

After inspecting the front end for loose or worn parts...Increase caster before whipping out the parts cannon.
