    What’s up guys,

I’m most likely gonna pull the trigger on upgrading speakers on my 2020 cuz OEM sucks ! I’ve seen post up here regarding how cheap they are and I agree. I can go on rant for a $43K truck and such cheap speakers etc. I also know OEM aspect . My main concern- I’m scared / paranoid once the door panels come off that I will be hear squeek / Rattle down the line?? I experienced this with my 2013- loved my stereo system but I realized that overtime when radio was low I could hear rattle coming from all door panels . This could also be a result that I upgraded speakers 2 years into owning truck .

Have any of you guys experienced this when installing new speakers? Any 2020 owners that did this ? Issues - noise after install? I know this all depends on stereo shop that does install so I’ll be at the mercy of them... maybe it’s a 50/50 risk I’m taking ?

Last, I have the apple car play head unit which I love and plan to keep, I’m just paranoid with anyone touching this. I plan to reinstall my amp and sub I removed from my 13 Taco and Just upgraded speakers / tweeters and new cabling . Any help/ suggestions much appreciated!!

I had my passenger door apart to do the keyless entry over there. No squeaks afterwards. n=1.

I replaced all 6 speakers in mine with no problem. I think the important thing to understand is you need to check the clips that hold the door panel on. If one is damaged, replace it. There are squeaks on 3rd gens that come from the factory anyway such as the drivers side trim panel and the dash speaker cover

I have a 2020 with Kicker speakers, Key amp , JL 8" sub. Stock HU.
I had a buzzing sound coming from my driver's side door by my shoulder. It was intermittent so driving me nuts.
I ran a 4" strip of sound deadening top to bottom on the rear edge of the driver door and seems to have done the trick.

I have the JBL setup in mine and it is all I need. I just want to remind the younger folks when you get in your 60's all music sounds the same. The damage to your ears will be complete and then comes the hearing aids.

Thank you all, and I too noticed faint squeak coming from driver side panel.

Thanks everyone really appreciate it, and good to know I’m know the only one.

If you're worried about that, I would just plan to buy new clips and wrap any new plugs/wires in that fabric harness tape. That said, even if you do nothing to your interior you'll end up with some squeaks/rattles eventually in most cars.

There are other threads about the driver door panel squeak. I think it may have been something to do with the plastic on the door itself.
But it was driving me crazy
