Google has not turned up much and Crutchfield isn't super helpful either. Can anyone tell me the stock resistance/ohmage and wattage for the speaker systems?

Also, I've got some new Memphis PRX27 mid speakers on the way and I want to see if some Eminence Pro Audio drivers I got laying around will work in the front or rear doors.

Update: If anyone happens upon this thread in a search, I'm 90% sure the stock system speakers are 3-4 ohms. 8 ohm speakers can be successfully used in place of these as often times, they have a higher sensitivity to account for the higher resistance. Hope this helps! I'll report back about the tweeter swap.

The front doors and dash tweeters are wired together, neither will work without the other, so either 2ohm each or 8ohm depending on series or parallel wiring.

Not sure what the drop in Subaru/Kicker tweeters are though, that's the most common swap here.

Hmm. I mean, I got this straight from Crutchfield. Usually they know their shit. I would have preferred to be able to buy OEM Plus tweeters but you have to get their 1200 dollar package deal. That's laughable.

No sorry I just mean if you completely remove one or the other, neither work.

You can swap in any tweeter you want, just would change the load the stereo gets.

When I replaced my non-JBL factory speakers, they were stamped 4 Ohms.
