Hot digitty... sign me up. As much as I love my Taco, the power is a huge disappointment, especially mated to this disaster of a transmission. Maybe I'll finally stop looking at those Raptors and big daddy diesels.

I'll stick with the ovtuned twins or supercharger. Better prices as well.

that ship may have sailed for OVT, at least in terms of the supercharger. It’s hard for an upstart to take a sale from a tried-and-true company like Magnusson, when we are talking a major engine modification. People will pay more for the confidence of dealing with a company known for its superchargers, especially conservative Toyota type people. Just my guess of course.

Concerned for reliability of the motor with a supercharger installed. Increased heat and horsepower generally reduce engine life. There is a reason most truck engines come derated. Reduced HP allows the engines to run at higher peak power for longer periods of time. Even the medium duty Diesel engines like the Cummins 6.7 have less power in a commercial truck application than the same engine installed in a light duty pickup.

Tell that to all the people who are in line waiting. Competition is VERY good for the consumer.

Doesn’t matter what brand or type of forced induction you may use in the end the engine will wear out quicker than without.

It’s supposed to make 70-120 more HP it’s basically the same size supercharger that comes on the tundras. They said it was a 1900 size supercharger which is their biggest yet for a v6

I hope that info is correct! The 1900 is a better fit for the 3.5. It's adequate on the Tundra 5.7.

I can tell you the transmission is the weak point on a 595 hp SC Tundra. Hot lapping it at the track can get expensive.

Aisin rates the AB60F right at the levels of hp and to that the stock TRD kit produces,

    4.0L 1GR uses the 1320. I doubt they jump 2 sizes to the 1900.
