My 2016 Tacoma with 82500 miles on it, started hiccuping between 20-30 mph. It feels like a transmission issue. Any ideas? Thank you for viewing

Maybe it sucked in air too quickly?

Honestly though, that's a decent amount of miles. Curious to know, what exactly do you mean by hiccuping? These transmissions are pretty finicky.

Are the shifts hard? Is it constantly shifting up and down/Gear hunting?

I had the same issue on my 2nd Gen Tacoma. I replaced the Transmission fluid and the issue was resolved. Although they told me that the Transmission fluid was not supposed to be replaced. Since I did not have the ability to remove all the fluid at once, I did the process a total of 3 times over about 30k miles. I did this many years ago, I just sold the truck with about 180k. I believe I found the documented process here, I would think it is the same for the 3rd Gen.

There is also a fuel pump recall. Your 2016 is covered for 10 years regardless of mileage.

It is impressive how many children post on this site.

"Maybe it sucked in air too quickly?"
"Have you checked your blinker fluid?"
    "Have you tried scaring it?"
