I’m starting to lose faith in the dam dealerships covering things under warranty. Truck is currently there but I don’t see this being resolved.

Anyways, any good mechanic referrals? Has to be within LA/OC area because the truck won’t drive on the freeway.

Depends on the dealership. I was super happy with Bob Smith in La Crecenta. They found my transmission problem that I thought was suspension issue and replaced the trans under extended warranty at no cost to me. I was impressed for a small dealer. While North Hollywood and Van nuys gave me the run around.

What is the issue your having?

It’s a long, long story. Its currently at Alhambra, but the last place (Downey) said The throttle body was tampered with.. amongst other things I’ve been told.. Which is absolutely not true. So of course, I’ve gotten the “you touched it, it’s not covered” spiel. I’m waiting to see what Alhambra says, but this has been going on for some time so I might as well prepare myself for an independent mechanic.

This is my long story. Lol

The problem is once one dealer says something stupid on your paperwork you might be screwed from that point forward. That's what Bob Smith people told me. But being drive by wire it could be a connection issue if the problem is intermittent.

Yeah, last dealer said the throttle body looked to be cleaned out and tampered with so they wouldn’t warranty anything. Worst part is, I’ve taken it there multiple times so they don’t even notice their own work.

I’d rather give my money to an independent mechanic. Unfortunately I don’t have time to fix it. I’m almost 100% convinced it’s the fuel pump again.
