The 2.7L ECU uses a version of toyotas ECUs that simply cannot be read by any method as of right now. It's just not possible to get the data

You do have a finished tune for the 2017 AT correct?

If so, how much are you charging for everything at my door? Need a price for every single component, shipping included por favor.

Does that apply to the 2018 4 cylinder Camry as well?

So, from what I've been told- there are two stock files for the 2016 & 2017 A/T 2.7's that can be used as a beginning platform to do your own tune with the VF Tuner package. There are not any out-of-the-box performance tunes made for these applications as of yet. I guess not until someone experienced in tuning puts a performance tune together. Thoughts?

Yes, it looks like we need to wait until someone knowledgeable does a good tune and makes it available for everyone to download.

I have no idea how similar the 2.7l maps are to the 3.5l, but we have a bunch of threads in the Perf and Tuning forum. You can see what might apply as a starting point. All of our work has been on the throttle response / driveability side. No messing with timing or valves for the most part.

Not nearly as many maps, but some fun stuff to tinker with. Your torque demand map is going to give you responsiveness.

cant simply adjust for tore size, you will probably want to scale shift points proportionally

So frustrating. Am I to understand OVTune managed to make a 2016 tune but only for the AT, and cant get into the later ones at all? I'm about ready to murder my throttle by wire in my 2016 2.7 MT

Can you elaborate on the items needed for tuning, ie; VF license, Tactrix adapter, & Tune kit? Mat told me I only needed the VF Tuner kit to download the files he has made as a platform to do your own tuning. Are you saying before I can do my own tuning I also need to purchase the license and Tactrix adapter?

Yeah, I was a bit wrong there. I thoughts Tune Packs were available. Since it is just the Stock tune to work from, you only need the vF Software Licence and Tactrix adapter bundle ($349).

The Stock tune is in the vF installation folder.

Do you know if these files incorporate the much needed TSB 0062-18 update for the 16'-18' Tacoma. I noticed the files were from 6/20 so I would think so-just looking to see if anyone knows.

A couple notes here. The TSB only applies to the 3.5l ATs. The vF Tunes edit the maps in the Stock / TSB Tunes. @OVTune cannot change the underlying code with a TSB from Toyota. I have not seen any 2.7l TSBs yet, even though you need them as much as we did.

The vF Tunes do the best that they can with the software that is on the existing ECU.

For me, feeling the difference between two TSBs and the Tunes that go with those, there is a big benefit to be felt.
