3rd Gen Tacoma 2.7L ECU Tuning

Does anyone know if the 2nd gen 2.7 M/T have a tune out there?

any updates on a vF tune for the 2016 sr5 tacoma 2.7L? Also what kind of power is it supposed to add?

Only Pro Tuners are allowed there. vF Tuner is the only person that knows that list and does the admittance part.

There are some new ECUs in the latest vF version, but I have no idea what they are:

I sent an email to try and get updated years/ecus in the update.

 

I've asked in the past. Only some 4.0l info has recently been given out.

 

any update on the december release?

 

Unless anyone else has i haven't received a response from VF on what was in the updated release the wait continues i guess

Now that support is coming, anyone have opinions on available tune options ? With the lack of support there isn’t much feedback like the 3.5’s with Dyno results and such. Not to start a who is better or great taste/less filling prick waiving contest, anyone know what key performance differences to expect from the ott or kdmax ?

 

There's quite a bit one could do to get a little more power out the 2.7 , hold my beer and watch this!!!

 

No seriously get the automatic transmission remapped, then get a jet maf sensor, possibly a bigger throttle body or spacer, get a quality cold air intake , get a quality cat back exhaust , then have someone who is a tuner to make the most from your bolt ons. Less back pressure isn't going to matter that much, believe me. The torque loss will be negligible.Possibly re gear if you want. Run a 91 octane tune. If that's not good enough, swap in an ls.
