3rd Gen Tacoma Driver’s Side Grab Handle - CURRENTLY IN PRODUCTION

Going to be a nice mod. Excited to see the the finished product!

 

I went to the site and there is no option to purchase. I don't mind waiting, but I still want a grab handle like so many others! TAKE MY MONEY!!! lol

UPDATE:

You can also try it now because I updated the website last night a lot compared to before.

 

A while back, there were a few concerns if the handle would affect the Air Bag deployment.

This is a great shot. Thank You! Speaks to exactly what has been said as it will not be a concern for the grab handle as the deployment is just a curtain and is basically to protect you from the side glass and it deploys between the pillar and the side seal. This confirms. Thank You!

 

UPDATE:

Spoke with vendors and it looks like they will be back middle of this month!!! Yay!!! I will also be updated the new order list this weekend as last weekend I went on vacation. There also have been some updates to the website in hopes to making things a bit easier to navigate and understand ordering. I think I have all the products now on their to order. There are still some things that you will need to send me a PM to get a quote on for shipping because the website just simply cannot calculate and that is fine. Just an FYI

@KTJO 4x4 any update you can give us? Was the vendor able to return mid month as they hoped?

 

UPDATE:

Yes. I was actually fixing to update you guys this weekend. I was able to get the 3D drawing from them over the long break. Although it took awhile to get the correct version for it to work for us here, we finally got it. This past weekend, my guy I have here that does a lot of things here and there and has his own machinery and fabrication shop, prior to being asked to stay home, was able to keep my truck for a week and work on the grab handle. He figured out what we believe the issue was with the angle and now he is adjusting the 3D drawing. Once he is complete with that, which hopefully is this coming week. I will send it back to my vendors. Who yes, have finally made it back to work this last week. They are so excited after being off for what I believe was like two months. A long time!!! I still have not been cleared to ship my package to them which I have a ton of stuff I need to send to them. A ton!! Anyhow, once I send them the drawing, they will make me the second 3D model and ship me to test one last time. This one should be perfect. If it is, we will be going off to production!!

P.S.

With things being so crazy I have yet to get these orders updated but I have not forgot about any of you and yes you are on my list. I will and plan to get to this tomorrow.

I really appreciate @KTJO 4x4's efforts with this. The driver's side grab handle is something that I miss in my Gen 3.

The upfront cost for building these must be quite high. Beyond the design, die making is an expensive process and then you add in the initial production run and shipping costs.

If you are wanting one of these grab-handles, why not pre-order now and help her with the out of pocket expenses.

 

Thanks for the update, looking forward to getting this installed. It's one of my biggest pet peeves on this 3rd generation truck! Toyota dropped the ball on this 3rd Tacoma iteration (generation)
