That's awesome! Stamp day is one of the best days. I run a Gemtech GM9 on my pistols, Huntertown Arms Guardian 9 on my AR9 (probably permanently attached at this point from shooting it so much) 556SDs on my ARs and 556 rifles, Gemtech Alpine on the .22s and a 762 SD on the .308s. Once you get your first one its all downhill. Shooting suppressed is best. The M&Ps run nicely suppressed though! Run mine on a VTAC 9. Thought about getting a threaded barrel for the shield or 43 just for shits and gigs!

Awesome! My first can was a Griffin checkmate (rimfire), then I decided I wanted to get a .30 cal can and I almost got a Griffin Paladin but decided I wanted the versatility of the Optimus, I think my next can will be a rugged Occulus .22, and then I want to get a more compact .30 cal can for use on a patrol rifle, I would like to try a dedicated .556 can also.
I will probably do another form 1 SBR before I get another can however.

Perfect for a southpaw. Going to use this to work in a velcro mount for my backup that I use off duty.

(Got guided here via FB posting 10/6/18 Driver side holster mount)...
Its all good. But by my own preference, I don't care for the location for a basic reason perhaps only important to me; that being at any one time, whether I'm in or outside the vehicle, I want my weapons out of sight. The pic I see clearly displays my weapon as soon as the door is open.
For me, I want it out of sight at all times; in the vehicle, on my person, and in transfer back and forth. Yes, removing it from the location is a viable procedure prior to door opening.
    Its an opinion, thats all.

Ya, I originally clicked on the thread out of pure interest of mounting a SERPA. Then I got to reading the comments. Wow!

I dig it!. But- it seems kind of involved.. I just used a 35lb gun magnet with 3M Double sided tape straight to the shifter column. holds up fine after 6 months. and I'm right handed not left. But-- you've got a locking holster out of it.
    summary, Im jealous OP.:hattip:

So, what happens when you are getting in and out of your car multiple times a day? You move your gun between this holster and on-body holster? There is too much loaded pistol movement to my liking.

Luckily, I am able to comfortably carry AIWB and my firearms stays on me all the time, so I don't have to unholster and reholster it every time I go grocery shopping.

I have magnets for the room (nightstands) the problem you have, when mounted with a magnet (and in your truck) is when the SHTF, and maybe you rear-end another vehicle. The firearm will fly off that magnet and now you're scrambling for your pew pew...That is why my vehicles all have dedicated holsters, predominantly for the 'plastic fantastic' aka Glocks

To each their own. I was recently at my FFL where a couple Fudd types were saying they only need small pocket guns for cc as a “get away from me gun”. At least they’re cc’ing.

I’ll carry my Glock 43 if I’m wearing clothes that make cc difficult. However I was always taught to use the biggest tool the job allowed. I don’t see why you wouldn’t at least have a compact/full size pistol in the truck if not an AR pistol.

Then you are a fool. These towns are being rioted by anarchists and I'll be damned if I am unprepared when they try to get to my family in my vehicle.

Wow you really are a fool. Read the 2nd amendment, it is meant for every American citizen. Bad guys will always have weapons, why wouldn't you want to be prepared? I hope I am armed better than the average robber, rioter, or looter.

While I do agree, it's in a kydex holster...

It's gonna be fine. Kind of the whole reason we buy good holsters with good trigger coverages.

Multiple times I've been on long road trips and decided it's coming off for comfort. Also why I have one option at the ready, another in a pack on the passenger seat (oh no! A loose backpack? Insanity! ), and another bigger option stashed in the back :laser:

I'd like to say it's on body all times but in reality, sometimes comfort just wins and it doesn't matter what carry position lol. Always have a backup ;)

    Also, inb4 :locked:

This shit cannot be discussed civilly here and truly has no business being here for that reason. Too many "what if" warriors and anti gun trolls. It's even a waste in the "firearms" section.

I carry AIWB, but with age and a bigger belly, I find driving with it concealed on my person is pretty uncomfortable.

Today I built an easy holster mount so I can take it off while driving, but have access to it and not have to unholster.

Using the Meso seat risers with front mount and just bent up a basic shape scrap metal that fit my holster. Should work great. Lined the inside edge with felt.
