3rd Gen Tacoma fast charge magnetic mount

I've finally finished this project. It has had many iterations but this looks like the definite winner. All that is left to do is secure the USB cable and it'll be done.

I have secured this to my dash beside of the hazard button. I originally had it on the next ledge down but I couldn't move it in the pitch direction so I moved it up to where I can lean it back enough. (Landscape mode is a problem though. Almost an inch of the screen is blocked by the steering wheel when I use landscape mode, which I haven't used much.) The USB cable goes to a Quick Charge 3.0 adapter that I've hidden above the gas pedal. It is powered by a Blue Seas fuse panel that I'd previously mounted under the hood. The Nillkin comes with 2 ways to secure the phone. The horseshoe piece of metal is just about worthless since it's only a thin piece of metal. I went with the other option which is this and I've since bought a couple more for when I change phone cases. It has a magnet on each protrusion. It holds my Galaxy S8+ perfectly. I've never had it drop off.

I can't recommend this mod enough. Since it is always powered, the phone starts fast charging as soon as I put it on the magnetic base. And the phone is so easily accessible. I had continual connect/disconnect problems with other magnetic chargers which caused the tone to come through the Entune radio when I was connected via Bluetooth. Not with this one. It charges until I remove the phone. I couldn't be happier with it.
