These look great. Once things settle with this damn virus stuff going on and I’m back at work I’ll have to snag a set. Been looking for something for awhile!

Midday I finally installed my Spiker struts. Pretty easy except the lower left bracket I could not for whatever reason get my large rivet tool in there. PITA with the small one. HOLY HAND strength. But all the other 6 rivets did with large easy tool. Everything fine, I'm not going to nitpick the instructions, use your head, knowledge and instructions and installation is easy.

OH YEAH and wow they work REAL NICE!!!

Good deal! One thing to try if you can't get a straight rivet gun under the hood to attach the fender brackets is temporarily lift the hood higher to gain the needed clearance - then lower it to the desired height before attaching the hood brackets. Glad you got it done though with the smaller rivet gun - enjoy!

Yeah..............I thought about lifting the hood higher. Somehow I had it set to the perfect height and stubborn me didn't want to mess with it. My son in law got his meat hooks on the smaller gun and did it. The 13" Astro gun on the other hand is fun to use!

If I purchase the kit, what else will I need to complete the install?
    Thanks

You just need common tools (drill and drill bit) and a rivet gun - I like this one: https://smile.amazon.com/Astro-1423-13-Inch-Heavy-Riveter/dp/B0039697ME

Don't need other parts, but do need something to coat the raw holes. I used a liquid-waxy rust preventative and installed the rivets wet after blasting the holes with the same stuff. Paint is probably OK and is recommended, but may scratch and then bare metal again (maybe totally best to do both paint and rust preventer). I've always had good luck with Amosil HDMP with closed up holes drilled in body work over 20+ years of car work, never turned into a rusty spot.

How do we get the pricing listed on the thread post? Also, how do these compare with the redline?

Like @Pablo8 said, all the materials needed for installation are included, you just need to supply the drill and #10 drill bit (you can get a good one from our website), a rivet gun, and basic mechanics' tools. There's a good overview of all this at the Installation tab on our webpage.

Unfortunately the prices went up slightly due to covid-related supply chain issues. I'll update the first post to reflect that change.

As for comparison to redline, our struts come standard with a 5 year warranty and 100% satisfaction guarantee. But most importantly, they let you raise your hood by up to 6" higher than stock:

I just got in the SokieTechs, and I'm gunna be honest, I really feel like the Spikers will be better for me. I was real hesitant about riveting anything and was so pro-bolt-on, but after all the install videos I have watched on the Spikers, I'm sold. Plus, the Sokietech's have different lengths dampers because the lower mounting points are in different locations, and my OCD will NOT be able to handle that LOL. So this week I am ordering the Spikers, a rivet gun, some touchup paint, and I'm gunna get at it!!!!! PLUS when I clean the engine, it will be nice not to bump my head all the time on the bottom side of the hood with the low prop rod LOL.

I might have a fitment issue depending on the thickness of the hood strut with my Injen CAI
I have about a half inch or more, will be a tight squeeze
@SpikerEng I need to know circumference of the hood strut before I place the order

    Thank you

Sure, we can ship anywhere. Shipping to Saudi Arabia is $40 US for First class (1 to 3+ weeks) or $60 for Priority (6-10 days).

yup. I think I’ll do that.

the first option doesn’t offer tracking or insurance?

Did mine and it came out great. I used the scissor type rivet gun and didn't have any problems. Only time I needed help was when I needed more room to get the hood rivets done. My stepson lifted up the hood higher and we got them mounted up. I swear you can probably get more height from the hood but I figured I would stay at the 6" more height. The Taco Twonz video was a big help too.
