probably will not get any concrete info until closer to fall, but then again i dont know if i will be keeping up with the next year changes. takes alot of work to track all the minor changes to each option/package line item price flucuations.

the wife is deciding on switching to a tundra limited crewcab and i will be watching for the 6th gen 4runner.

Yeah my 2018 Is on order if I don't like the changes, dealer said I can cancel, I think I might wait on the 19 forerunners myself and just lease a vehicle for two years while waiting. I still have a 2010 Honda fit it's paid off but I just want to drive something else.

the big issue for me is what to do on the tundra. this fall they are coming out with a tundra sport (read hood scoop). tundra usually run a 10yr gen cycle but right now they are over that amount (current gen was released in 2006). so the tundra is really due a new gen. i have seen some spy shots of the new tundra but it looks like just a minor rounding of body panels and a new front end treatment.

i am a 4runner person myself so i am waiting for the next gen to come out. the current gen 4runner was released in 2009 and usually its on a 7yr gen cycle. i am expecting jan-2018 car show for them to release new info for fall of 2018 release (read 2019 model year), hoping its the new gen.

Yes the tundras kind of getting a little long in the cycle, and the only reason I didn't pull the trigger on a 4runner is because of the outdated infotainment center. The sales manager at my dealer thinks that I should have no problem getting most of my money back after two years if I want to trade in the Tacoma on a 4runner. I just want the 4runner to be out at least a year so that way suspension and accessories come out for it

well the info center didnt improve much between the 2014 4runner i have and the 2016 tacoma. if you want to see an updated center stack go look at the new camry (cant remember if its the 2017 or the 2018 that has the new system).

camry is usually a good yardstick for toyota as the camry is on a 4-5 yr gen cycle.

This may be a dumb question but if the MY 2018 haven't been announced yet, how do you have one on order?

Not at all trying to me a smart ass, legit question. I just sold my 2nd gen so I'm debating getting a 2017 or waiting for the 2018, assuming I stick with a taco. Might go Tundra or 4Runner.

@NoDak any insight on release dates?

most model year order cycle usually ends may of the calendar year and next model year order cycle starts in late june/early july if i remember correctly. tacoma if i remember correctly is about a month behind the normal cycle and usually there is a month gap between stop and starts when a new gen starts up.

if you want to know the exact dates goto fleet.toyota.com and look under vehicles.

fyi : toyota corporate fiscal year ends on march-31.

Hi, thanks so much for the pricing guide. I just bought mine today, a TRD OR White DCLB. As follows:
    7568, EE, TO, R2, 2T and E5.
TRD OR 4X4, Standard audio, Tow package, black tube steps, All weather floor liners and door sill, and exhaust tip. Hopefully I got a good deal.
    MSRP $37,912
    OTD $34,688
    Total with TTL (california) $37,917.27
    7.75% tax rate here
I had 2 quotes from dealers in the LA and Orange County area, then went to the dealer with the Costco program and showed them my quote from the lowest LA dealer. They price matched with the tube step option. I also had my financing squared away prior with a check from my credit union.

Any idea on color / style of leather or cloth seats, and wheel designs ? I saw the new grills, and black was updated to a black metallic.

Ok, so I have a local dealership saying he will order me a 2018 DBLC TRD OR MT with nothing except tow package for $33,500, and will take 3 months to get it. Does that sound like a pretty good deal?

I would like to know about this as well. In search of a 2018 Limited with a different leather color than the hickory. Also am curious if they are doing the entire rear window a power window.

that would involve changing the whole back of the cab/body to do that which it not going to happen for at least 9-10 years until the next generation comes out if at all.
