Got mine under by about $1,600. Depends on region too. Went 800 miles from home for my purchase.

The financing is crappy around here. I have a FICO over 800 and the absolute best APR is 2.5%. I'll see what happens over the next year with the interest rates.

They will probably go up in the spring unless some unforeseen economic meltodown happens.

I'd have to get 1.99 or better to pull the trigger. Otherwise, I'm leaning towards a used Land Cruiser.

Yes and no. I'm getting mine from Jim Barkley Toyota in Asheville. Their list has been pretty accurate as far as when the truck is arriving, but you would need to call to see if it is pre-sold. Mine is one of the 7544 Infernos that is arriving today (10/27). If you click any of the inventory, you can get the VIN and call them about it. They are showing some 7544 on the lot and several arriving. The price you see is everything but TTL. No dealer add-ons at all. The southeast Toyota fee is already in there.
I just re-read your post. I don't work at a dealer, but Jim Barkley puts their inventory and expected inventory on their website, so anyone can see what is available. Good luck.

damn, where are you at? my FICO is shit at the moment (in my opinion, but still 'technically' good), but still got 2.09%.

Michigan. Yeah, my last vehicle that I purchased I got 1.something from Subaru/Chase. Toyota dealer said there are no APR financing incentives and the best they could even do was 2.75 at a local credit union. Not about to pay $750ish per month for a new Taco, even if I can afford it. I had thought interest rates were down or at least stagnant, but they seem to be on the rise.

I have a 1.49 to 1.79 offer from my credit card credit union and we are going to the teacher's credit union down the street today to see what they will offer us when we choose to buy the truck. They offer 2% on their website but have incentive to take off .75% when you enroll is direct payment from the checking account they open for you.

Those are the kind of rates I'm looking for. Nowhere around here has that. I get it. Toyota doesn't need to offer incentives, including low APR, because they are selling Tacomas like hotcakes. But, it doesn't explain the lack of good rates from other lenders with a top tier credit history/score.

1.49% through School's First FCU. Hopefully I'll get to use it here soon...

Well that would be nice! lol. We were sent a pre-approval notice for 1.49% for up to a 60 month loan. 2.0% for longer loans or used cars. It was really easy - walked in and asked about it then walked out about 7 minutes later with a blank check.

Good to know. What are you credit histories? I have high score but no loan history and my wife has not-as-high score with lots of loan history
