Wolf, where are you located? I am from the Dallas area, and there are no manual transmissions (or so I'm told) in a five-state region (Gulf States Toyota). So, I was thinking about starting my search in the western Mountain states, maybe searching Colorado.

If anyone has seen a few manuals out there, would appreciate knowing which dealerships (or PM me) and state.

For those who have been shopping and explored with a dealership various pricing options, here is what one Dallas-area dealer offered when presented with a Costco option:

    1) $500 over invoice, which brought the DCSB Off Road 4x4 manual transmission to $33,874. That pricing included the Premium and Technology package, but no tow package. It also included the following fees, which the salesman said were non-negotiable: TMF (advertising) $978, Delivery/Processing/Handling $950; Base Vehicle Holdback $689; PIO Holdback 79.35 and a Financial Reserve MSRP of $344. Holy crap, all combined that's $3,040 in additional fees.

Thoughts? My gut tells me I can find this truck elsewhere outside of Gulf States Toyota territory without some of these fees.

Was with a dealer yesterday (November 3, 2015) and he said some of the invoice prices from our shared list were off (sorry about the formatting not coming through very good)

Item From Tacoma World thread What dealer claims is correct
    CJ - Bed Mat 80 98
CF - Carpet Floor Mats (includes D9 door sill protectors) 149 180
GN - Cargo Net 42 same
    MF - Mudguards 35 116
TC - Tonneau Cover 579 same
    R2 - 5" Oval Tube Step Black 320 390
    TG - D-Rings 35 43
    WI - Spare Tire Lock 45 56
    3P - Paint Protection Film 219 278

He was very open and up front with everything and was completely willing to work with me on getting a deal we both felt was fair.

Has anyone else received variations in these prices?

yes and it will happen. the prices is what Toyota charges the regional. what the regional charges the dealer could be higher than Toyota invoice up to msrp. its been discussed before.

all I've posted is the baseline numbers, I cant account for the 8+ different regions and the pricing for each region.

YOU DO NOT PAY HOLDBACK. Holdback is money that Toyota pays the dealership. If they get you to pay holdback, they are expert salesman and you are an unknowing customer

    NoDak,

Sorry if I misrepresented things - by all means, you have done an amazing thing for the Tacoma community by researching the master list on page 1 along with the constant updates.

I simply missed the discussion of regional variations as I did not read all 30 pages within this thread.

Your efforts are greatly appreciated by all.

no biggie, just wanted to get across that I was giving numbers that were static and are a given from the oem. there is way to much variation between each region on what they charge the dealer and then what a dealer will charge a customer.

Anyone ever hear of $925 admin fee being charged from Toyota. In the SE region if it matters.

Trying to work a deal on a TRD Sport Double Cab 4x4 Auto V6. Dealer said they would do invoice pricing plus $500. After some back and forth and numbers not quite lining up here is what they said.

"On our invoice they charge $935 Manufacturing delivery Process Fee and a $925 admin. The base price is $31,248.50 but when those added to it brings us to the invoice we pay for the car."

I dealt with the same thing here in TX. The "admin" is what they are calling TDA (Toyota Dealer Advertising) in other regions. $935 is the delivery fee from Toyota. I didn't have any luck getting under the TDA/admin add-on. It's basically a floor they set for the salespeople to make sure they cover the overhead of running the dealerships.

Haha, no. The dealership is charged by Toyota the TDA fee, no matter what. They are also charged the destination fee, no matter what.

Those two charges don't make the dealership any money

Can anyone help me find a good price for this configuration?

(7544) 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4WD Double Cab w/ Short Bed with the following configurations:
    - (FP) Premium & Technology Package + JBL Audio
    - (TO) Tow Package
    - (TC) Tonneau Tri-Fold Bed Cover

    TrueCar is telling me: $38,875
Invoice is calculated to be: $35,108
    I was offered: $38,700 + TTL

This sounds really expensive. I'm really not the best at haggling and stuff so I'm hoping you guys can help me! Thanks!!!
