That crazy allocations . You know what "Limited " means when a auto maker puts that moniker on a vehicle? Limited means they only limited to the number they can sell.......

They can definitely order it. Whether it ever gets allocated...that's another question, lol.

Went to Toyota website & built a vehicle with my local zip.

I was able to build the exact vehicle I wantee, does that mean it's avaliable in my area or just that I can order it? I wasn't able to build the vehicle a few weeks ago.

From my recent experience ,do yourself a favor , go to a dealership . Get with the person who orders vehicles. At the dealership I went to it was the fleet manager. I found a lot more options than the Toyota website allows you to have. For example , interior color choices or leather , chrome trim-fog light bezels & door handles , if I wanted them. Rim choices , color matched bumpers etc. . Save yourself time and grief ,sit with someone at the dealership and get them to order what you want. Even if you don't want to order it then ,there is no commitment to buy to shop. It only took 5 minutes , the process was quick.

He wants a SR package Tacoma with a manual trans and the 4cyl.

No need to look at every option available when he only wants a basic truck that won't break the bank like every other Tacoma.

To actually answer your question, just because you can build it on the website doesn't mean it's on a lot.

Once you finish your build, go to the summary, scroll down, and click the big grey button that says search inventory. That should tell you whether or not there is one available, and if not you can request a quote from a dealer.

There's one that is close to what you're looking for at the dealer near me (Grey 5spd SR...it does has the SR convenience package though.)

I've been to one dealer to see about the Tacoma i wanted. I wanted jbl, the salesman didn't know what the pkg code was. I had to show him what it was on the site.
The 2nd Dealer told me by email the TRD Sport didn't come with JBL. I replied back & gave him the pkg code as well as other dealers saying it does. The Dealers are hard to deal with. They want to string me along, i have to say NO, yet they insist on it. One dealer on chat told me they would not charge me more than msrp, this was after i told them i was not going to dicker back & forth. Anyone had issues getting a good price?

The JBL upgrade is in addition to the Premium and tech packages together. I just ordered it on my sport 2WD. A co-worker just ordered the same truck as me through Lakeside Toyota in Metairie ,La. for $34,054.00 with JBL and tow package Ask for Michael Weeks

I got a email quote for $16000 to finance finance, after training in my 09tacoma trd sport, 2wd, 44600 mi, one owner. Looks like 34 is about the best anyone can do. Trucks are hard to come by so i guess any discount is good?

price is higher due to the ordering. If it was on the lot you would get it cheaper. But in my area they are loaded up with just about every dealer accessory they can put on.

ex. 3" lift kit (spacers/blocks) with KO2's and icon rims $10,999 upgrade

I ordered a TRD OR DC SB 4x4 in super white and NO premium and tech, which meant chrome rear bumper...But I went to the dealership today to put eyes on "my" truck that came in (taking delivery tomorrow), I noticed that it had a color matched rear bumper! I'm pretty excited about that because I think it was some type of mixup. The only other thing I wanted was the sunroof, but I couldn't justify the extra cost. Just wondering if anyone else has had a non premium and tech packaged TRD off-road come with a color matched rear bumper

    None needed.
I cant say for sure how many are available in the Ohio valley region but I can say there aren't many. They seem to all be bought in allocation and even then there's only a handful for all of Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee where Tacoma's are very popular trucks. Z50King is right, Toyota underestimated the sales for this model of the Tacoma. I know its selfish but I hope they keep production down on this model. If you want one, have a local dealer perform a search, on their allocation day, first thing in the morning and find large dealerships in each region to do the same. Lastly, you can order one, but it will take three months to get.

I'm in Conway myself. Caldwell couldn't get it done (although I've bought my last 2 vehicles from them), I ended up going with Lander's in LR and couldn't be more pleased. PM me if you want the info of the sales guy I used, he got me 50% more on trade (2011 Terrain) than I was offered in Conway.

Ive been reading the forums for months now, but first time posting.

A dealer is currently offering me $100 off invoice on a 4x4 Limited, plus TTL (288) and tax. I was sent the invoice memorandum, and all prices lined up. However, it also has a $700 TDA (Toyota Dealership Advertising) fee added on. Has anyone else dealt with a TDA/been able to negotiate that down?

I did little to no negotiating when I priced my new Tacoma as they gave me pretty good numbers first time out. However I did hear of this and specifically mentioned it when we verbally agreed on a price. Dealer specifically stated, No TDA. Could be hidden somewhere that I didn't see, but I was at $2874 UNDER MSRP to begin with so I wasn't gonna get too picky. In any case, even WITH the TDA that sounds like a pretty fair price for a Limited to me. If I was serious about buying it, personally I doubt that I'd turn that down. Still, perhaps a counter offer? Say ask them to cut it in half to $350? Just a thought anyway. Good Luck!
