I am afraid you will be dropping $40,000 for that truck! That is identical to the build I priced out, except I am going with the non-JBL. The price I got was $150 over invoice. In CA, OTD, the price is: Selling Price 35904.20 + License 311 + Electronic Filing 29 + Doc Fee 80 + taxes 2878.74 = 39202.94

Add another $700 for the JBL and you're right around $40,k. Most dealer cannot even come close to $150 over invoice, so you will probably pay more.

Yeah, definitely not the plan. Was hoping there may be some leverage since that build seems chock full of extras, but one thing I've noticed is people are willing to drop $40K on a Taco like it's nothing.

Essentials for me are TRD OR or Sport (still haven't made up my mind), 4X4, V6, auto and tow package. I'm going to keep searching until I find the right build. Inventory has just been squeezed tight in this area recently. I was starting to think they were making way for 2017, but it's too early for that, is it not?

 

I had to order the Sports 4x4 V6 Auto with a tow package. Most of truck at the dealer are loaded with stuff that I don't need. I was able to get a Tube Step and Husky Floor Mats for under $400. My next investment is a Tonneau Cover which I can get for $270.

 

just remember, everything on the right side of the sticker is exlusive to southeast Toyota addons/markups. I cannot track those since they are not official Toyota oem pricing/options.

Sticker price: $35,953 (Includes $950 delivery fee)
Invoice price: $34,097 (includes $950 deliver and $923 southeast Toyota admin fee)

Buyers order price: $30,895

I do and signed by the manager. Unfortunately they have to locate the exact truck I wanted but the deal on the truck is settled. Safe to say that's a good deal?

 

That's the best deal I've seen. Kind of surprised they would do it. There doesn't seem like there's going to be any money in the deal for them. Invoice minus the hold back it seems like they'll be losing money unless there's something being left out here.

 

A friend of mine secured a deal on his back in Feb. Not sure how he got the deal, but I took his buyer order and window sticker in and told them I want this exact truck but in Magnetic Grey. After numerous back and forth negotiations with 4 seperate dealers, two of them actually agreed to the same deal. The other two said I was crazy.

Since I have a trade, I ended up going with the dealer that would give me the most for it.

Based on KBB, they originally undershot my trade by 3000 due to the deal I worked on the truck. I got them to come up 2100 on the trade, although they weren't happy. I'm sure there is money in it for them somewhere but I'm happy with the number for the truck.

 

That makes sense. They're going to sell the truck for less and make the money on your trade. If the deal is in place sell your truck outright and see if they'll still honor it with the cash in hand. If not then they're just playing shell games with you.

 

There's money in there for them with all the built-in margins and bonuses now found in the "invoice" price. And June is a big month for hitting bonus targets. Even if they did lose on this deal, why would they care if it meant they hit their targets which brings them tens of thousands in bonuses. Nice work.

im trying but cant get any official numbers yet. all I have is the option code and model numbers for the auto and m/t. not even sure on the cab configs yet.

I have just about the same truck (minus the P&T package) with carpet mats. My final price was $30,020 before TTL. Bought in February

 

Tech package was a necessity so i feel pretty happy with my deal since it seems its $2k under what most people have been paying for the same truck.
